But the fact Richardson is getting 5 yards a carry and you take him out of the game on 3rd and 1? If your going to throw it at least play action it to Richardson. It's just a completely retarded play call in that situation
You guys are acting like a pass call has never been made on 3rd and 1 lol

If we can't rely on our QB on 3rd and 1, when can we?

This defense fucking blows week in and week out.

Just getting Haden back is not going to fix all that is wrong with it.

If you actually put someone in the backfield, the defense has to at least consider the run. Instead, they were able to drop everyone to wait for it. It was a setup for failure regardless of QB.

A shit throw just made a bad situation worse.

Haden or not, it's safe to say this team is nowhere near a top 10 defense. As previously mentioned, last years' ranking was a statistical mirage.

I think even the Philly game fooled people into thinking the D was better than it was because we got all those turnovers. Covered up for the fact we gave up like 500 yards of offense and they moved the ball at will.

I am over the bend but don't break philosophy of giving up huge chunks of yardage all game hoping to hold them to field goals.

This. I'm not saying we don't throw the ball on 3rd and 1. I'm saying shurmer is a fucking retard by not putting anyone in the back field for a threat of a run.

Probably a strategic move. Playing with a lead is way outside of our comfort zone. Now we have them right where we want them.

Thing about it is that last year teams could just run on them which kept their "points per game" surrendered lower. Teams didn't have to pass. At least they had that to hang their hat on.

This year, teams have figured out that they can light them up through the air while the rush defense has been better. In the process the points per game allowed has gone through the roof. Giants will score at least 40 today.
