That compassion doe not benefit those who do not choose to receive it but rather such an offering serves you by your own focus on the gesture. That's all you "offereings' are especially when repeated at such a rate as you do.

it is an offer of a better life in a better world. It would be both selfish and punitive of me not to contiue to make that offer.

it suggest the abandonment of greed, selfishness and bigotry is giving hope for a better world to those so inflicted. it would be selfish of me not to make the suggestion, it is worth my effort.

It's the repeated nature after the individual is aware of such options that turns the offer to one of self serving on your part.

They know. By continuously bringing it up you are doing it for your own benefit at that point.

gosh it is quite the contrary. it would be self serving to take the attitude i have offered them a path to redemption and they rejected it, why waste anymore of my time. they are deeply mired in their lives of greed, selfishness and bigotry and it may take much time and effort to show them a saving life choice.
