Many schools have a code of conduct policy required to be signed by extracurricular participants. You don't need to drink at a party to be a violator of the policy. You only need be present at one.

Anyone who believes that the coach could not get every item of available information on the whole situation if he chose to is delusional or disingenuous. If he doesn't know much as anyone in the community about who was involved and to what extent, it's because he's chosen not to.

If the information is available,yes. But at the time these boys played in the scrimmage, information was scarce. He was and is being crucified ( not by anyone of importance but on these message boards) for that. Everyone can now assume that he is/has been informed of everything that took place. And as far as the community is concerned, I doubt if anybody has a clear picture of what transpired excluding those who were involved and the law. And knowing as muich as anyone else in the community could amount to almost nothing-legally.

Agree with most of what you say, but for everyone "crucifying" him, there's someone claiming "how would he know anything, he's just the football coach". He is, for better or worse, the biggest fish in that pond. If the knowledge is available, he knows or at least he could know if he chose to know.

Throw enough dirt on it and you can cover up anything. Big Red football needs to be suspended from play-offs.

I don't think that's the case. At the time that I saw that, all that was known was that there was "a big announcement" coming today. The author speculated that another victim had come forward...and there was no mention of the previous incident. I think at the time that it was posted, it was assumed that this victim had something to do with the current case. Turns out it wasn't.

But that's the problem with the time we live in. Everyone wants to be the first to break the scoop, and sometimes assumptions are made in order to get out in front of everyone else.

I'm still at a loss at how you spin 2 alleged gang rapes in less than 5 months by members of separate athletic teams in any kind of positive light.
