I do stay away from hs football, like I said. I follow it here and on tv and still go to a few games but it doesn't need to be as serious as it has become.

Our schools policy is if you are at a party with alcohol and get caught being there regardless if you even drink, then you are suspended for 20% of the season. Athletics is a PRIVILEDGE!
What do we know right now that are facts?
A party that athletes attended
Alcohol
Drugs(roofies)
Rape
Kidnapping

It really is a shame what Reno has let this program evolve into.
I had such high regard and respect for him before all this went down.
He let the 2 that are in jail now practice and play in scrimmages before being arrested.
He knew what happen and a coach even instructed the kids to delete anything they had on the incident.
He even was trying to block the Sheriff from coming to the athletic facilities to confiscate the electronic devices.
But wait, we need to find out if the others involved(not the 2 in jail) are actually getting charged to suspend them from the team?????? WOW!
Just another case of a Joe Pa that stayed too long and got too much power.

What's really sad is the fact that if you know all of the above, you should report what you know to the prosecutor in this case. They are looking for people like you to come forward.

Whats really sad is I am one of HUNDREDS that know this yet nothing has changed at roll red roll.
There are new prosecutors in the case so I would expect it will take some time for them to get all their ducks in a row so they dont make mistakes as far as the LAW goes.
I guess unless you are charged and arrested for a felony at roll red roll, things just keep rolling along.

Wow Mo this explains some of Big Reds success over the years. In the 40 plus years I have watched high school football I have seen countless numbers of good players sitting out games for just attending drinking parties, it never really matters what time of the year. I can say also it has cost them wins for sure. But your saying not in Stuberland?????

When I was in school in the 80's I saw players from every surrounding school out drinking and getting high.

I'm sure it happens even in Pleasantville...aka Dover.

Last time I checked there were NO incidents of girls being raped by football players.

To me, in regard to who is playing and who is not, there are three possibilities:

1. The coach knows which players were involved and is taking no action as not to taint any possible future legal action. Agree or disagree, I can understand this decsion.

2. The coach knows which players were involved and is taking no action as not to affect his football team. Were evidence of this to come to light, he should be fired immediately for cause.

3. The coach chooses to know as little as possible about the situation. This is as bad, if not worse, than #2 and should yield the same result.

I sincerely hope that the reason is #1.

You left one out: The coach heard rumors from some of the players but had no hard evidence since he was not there; thus the coach should remain head coach. Let the law run it's course.

Most every district has policies that result in automatic suspensions when people get caught at a busted party. We had players getting 1-2 games for that type of stuff back in the late 90s
