Well, like Ozzy says, wine is fine, but whiskey's quicker! In a song titled "Suicide Solution", but PLEASE DO NOT read anything into that. Nothing at all.

lol whiskey is not "healthier" than craft beer. Recent studies have even shown craft beer to be healthier than wine. Can't talk about price though, its expensive.

It's ok, I'd be bitter too if I couldn't drink delicious craft beer.

When I drink less of it, it's not as many calories.

The key is really a balanced diet, which includes much more fruit and veggies than most people take in. Most people are getting too much calories from meat and/or grains, to say nothing of junk food and processed foods.

So actually if you were to eat the recommended portions you probably see your calories go down (fruits actually have less calories than most meats and grains, and vegetables are very low in calories).

I think fruit & veggie smoothies have a lot of health benefits for the unhealthy eater. Cut down on your overall portions, and then drink a smoothie or two as a meal replacement so your not hungry throughout the day. Plus, in addition to all the natural vitamins and minerals you'll be taking in more water which is good for you. You eat less red meat and processed foods and you'll also be taking in less cholesterol and unhealthy fats.

As far as a cleanser, unless you have some horrible imbalances or health issues your body is really good at cleansing itself.

Oh yeah, it will take a few weeks for your body to get used to all the extra fiber.

This thread was TTT'd for ETB. I did this last year which was when the thread was started. I lasted 2 days, had suicidal thoughts, and went to Chipotle.

Juicing gets rid of most of the fiber (which also contains a lot of the good nutrients).

Get yourself a Vitamix blender, which pretty much liquifies about anything, and then just add water to get the consistency you want.

Lol!!!! I never even looked at the date. Wifes best friend juiced for 30 days. Which is probably too long but she lost 35 pounds and looks awesome. I know I couldn't do it that long. But I wanna try doing it for a week

Aren't those things insanely expensive?

I looked at something like that back before I did this cleanse and just remember thinking how ridiculous the price was

35 lbs over 30 days isn't remotely healthy, nor is an all-juice diet (though you can probably get away with it if only for a month).

I guess at the end of the day the benefits of the weight loss (if you keep it off) outweigh the crazy and stupid things people do to lose the weight, but wow. Really not rocket science, just exercise and a calorie deficit.

$500-$600. I had a different blender for a hundred and quickly got tired of seeds and excessive pulp (hardly intolerable, but big difference). The Vitamix really does live up to the hype, and there really aren't any budget blenders that come close. It's also supposed to be great for soups.

If you're just going to do it for 30 days, then go ahead and burn out your current blender. If you're making a lifestyle change, the quality of your juicing/smoothies will be a key factor in sticking with it. And from that perspective, it's worth it.

Yea shes back to a paleo diet now. She even said 30 days was probably too long but she was feeling great and continuing to get results so she stuck with it

Yeah, pretty much been my approach. I use a phone app to follow calorie intake and I exercise regularly. I am actually losing weight at too high of rate, but I still feel good.
