Sorry, you aren't getting either wish! Sullinger is a man amongst boys right now. That will change once he gets to OSU. But he has the tools and will adjust just fine IMO. He is actually better suited for a PF. Which I think we will see him play at OSU. Although he will be posting up quite a bit obviously. Scarey thing is, he is only going to get better and stronger once he gets into a program.
All that being said, he is not a one and done type of player. He still has a lot of room for improvement. He will be at OSU for 3yrs IMO.

Disagree. I am all about letting the players finish the game...but if you watch the replay, the kid was riding Sully all the way down the court. The official gave him plenty of time to back off...and he didn't. He had to make that call, he was all over him.

It was pretty well officiated throughout, and at first I thought that last foul was a bailout, the replay showed the guy riding him pretty good.

As for Sullinger. Absolute BEAST! He'll face double teams at OSU next year as well, but not nearly as much as he does now and he'll be able to take advantage of one-on-one matchups.

I don't think he's a one and done, but that's not because he's not good enough. I think after a year in college, he's a lottery pick. But he seems like the kind of kid that will give college a couple years before bolting.


He has a great feelf or the game, great hands, good touch and great body positioning. You really don't see someone as polished as he is at the HS level. Yes, he lacks athleticism, but he makes up for it.

He has athleticism Dynasty. Trust me on that one. Has a 3ball and handles too. Their in his back pocket because his team needs his post play to win. One and done talent all day! May stay by choice but as was said, he's a lottery pick after one season. Like Satch said.....the bigger the game the better he plays. Jared is a top 5 Ohio HS player ever.

Uh, top 5 ever? Uh, he is very good, I am as excited as anyone that he is coming to OSU...but he is not in the top 5 ever in Ohio. Lebron, Lucas, Jim Jackson, Clark Kellogg, Havlicek come to mind very quickly without really taking thought into many others.
And sure he could be one and done...but he is a tweener at 6'9". He currently isn't quick enough, and hasn't played enough on the perimeter, and is too small to play post to go to the NBA and be successful anytime soon. He needs at least a couple years against better talent to develop. Thats what I like about him..I don't think he is near the potential that he has.

He's not a tweener. 6'9 is just fine to play SF/PF in the NBA--especially as long and athletic as he is. He has the athleticism to play SF, and he's only going to get more athletic and quicker. Got a decent jumper too, which you can only assume will get better. Good back to the basket game to be a PF. And you can tell his basketball IQ is very high. I wouldn't call him top 5 ever in Ohio, but he's damn good in his own right.

You're PRAYING he stays at OSU 3 years--that's a dream. He's more than likely one and done--I'll be very surprised if he stays 3.

And as for the call at the end of the game, no way you can think that wasn't a good call--the kid is lucky he fouled him anyways, it gave them a chance to win the game. Sullinger had him beat right as the foul occurred--he was already around him, would have dunked it (there was no 2nd line of defense) and there wouldn't have been any time left on the clock.

Was very impressed with Northland--everyone one of their players can play. Good game plan, they didn't let them get anything easy and they played great defense. But at the same time, Findlay was overrated IMO--either that or Northland is underrated, which could be the case because ranking high school teams is a lot tougher than college teams. But I certainly wasn't overly impressed by anyone on their team--certainly had something to do with Sullinger stealing the show too. Sullinger is an absolute beast though--I'm with Laley, I wish he wasn't coming to the Big Ten since he isn't going to IU

Hes a beast I agree def an NBA player .....But I REALLY doubt we see him move to the SF position...hed get ate alive. But after a year or 2 in college we'll def see him in the NBA, IMO @ the 4 spot

Definitely best suited for the 4. But I think he'll be able to play the 3. He's still a senior--he's going to get a hell of a lot better than he is now and he'll also bulk up, get quicker and more athletic.

If he can develop a consistent 15 footer he will be a very good PF in the NBA. He looks a lot better body wise this year and he is very active. He can add some muscle and some weight to his frame while still being very athletic.

He seems like a player that could stay around for more than 1 year but I see a max of 2 years at OSU.

I am curious. What NBA player does Sullinger remind you of??

^Too early for me to compare him to anyone for me. Maybe a Boozer type player, great rebounder and he's a tough scorer in the post.

I think it is interesting that some people think he is a ONE AND DONE, while others think he a WIP.If he is a ONE AND DONE then there must be an NBA player who has a game that Sullinger compares favorably to.

Daddy Sullinger isn't Jared Sullinger, he ultimately makes his own choices. If he has a big season at OSU next year and is being projected top 3, I bet he goes.

Very few players have a game that is unique. I think GM's use player comparison's to help in the evaluation process.

Well since you can't go straight to the NBA anymore, lets let him play in college first...we'll have a much better idea. All I know for sure right now is that he is really good.

Yes, I'm a UNC fan, but I root for OSU as well.. I have my reasons as being a UNC fan, but that doesn't keep me from also having an interest in how the Bucks are doing.

I'd love for this stacked OSU class to stay together past 1 season, but talent like Sullinger is hard to pass up on in terms of the NBA draft. He'll most likely be 1 and done, I don't care what "daddy Sullinger" said.. He'll change his mind when he sees $$$$$$$$$$$ signs..

Kid already has a 15 foot jump shot. I think he could develop his 3 pt shooting at OSU. I haven't seen hands and ball control on a high school big guy like he has ever. He just gets the basket and can finish, but you have to respect his jumpshot. I don't see how he isn't one and done. You have to double team him, or he does what he wants. He will end up being a Rasheed Wallace IMO. Big guy who can shoot from anywhere and can post up anyone as well.

Well, if your a UNC fan, then I think you would agree, that Sully, right now, is very much like former UNC player, Sean May. Same bodies, same game. Right now, May isn't exactly lighting it up in the NBA.
Again, Sully has great upside. But he has a ways to go in building strength, conditioning and quickness before he is ready to play in the NBA.
