Sad ending to a troubled life. Trouble seemed to follow this kid from WVU throughout his NFL career.

There's a time for jokes and a few minutes after someone has died, regardless of your feelings for them, is not the time.

It's not like he was run over by his drug dealer while robbing a bank. He was fighting with his girlfriend and ran after her. A freak accident. None of you have ever done anything foolish while arguing with your s.o.?

Like jumping into the back of a presumably fast moving vehicle? No.

troubling to hear this. 26 years old. Jesus.

I hope people close to him cope well with this. I heard they are investigating his fiance, do they think she threw him out of the truck?

Don't know about that. If she jolted him out of the truck on purpose I am sure the law won't take that to lightly. If she is convicted of involuntary manslaughter he might as well have taken her with him.

This is just sad.

Your feelings on the subject are your feelings, but what need would someone have to express them?

I'm sure they'll be investigating whether or not she was just being a crazy bitch or perhaps he was trying to harm her and she tried to speed away. She must have been going upwards of 30-40+ to kill him. Maybe he landed on his head.

How the hell do you throw someone out of the bed of a truck WHILE driving it??

And, isn't it illegal to be riding in the bed of a moving truck??

It's obviously tragic and I posted about this on the pro sports forum.

I don't think it's the time for jokes, but I do have to agree with Tiernan in a way. First off, I don't care about Chris Henry. It's sad to hear, but it doesn't affect me so I'm not going to be putting "RIP Chris Henry" on my facebook like all my friends are.

Secondly, whether is right to say or not, this is a guy who was trouble. Sure he seemed to be turning his life around, but he has always been a screw up. From his younger days, to his days at WVU when he roomed with Pac Man Jones and was a train wreck to his early years in the NFL. I'm not saying that he deserved to die, because he didn't. But it's hard to feel sorry for someone that always caused trouble.

And I don't get the media obsession with this whole tragedy. Sure he was an NFL player, but there have been much worse things that happened here in Ohio over the last couple weeks that I feel much worse about.

I agree 100%. He did not deserve to die, but the young man lived his life very recklessly and on the edge. An ending like this should not come as a complete surprise.

Where are all of you that are posting about what happened getting your info? I have read nothing about how he fell out, how fast the truck was going or anything like that. I also never read that he was trying to beat the crap out of her. Do you have links?

I do know know that it doesn't matter how fast the truck was going if he landed on his head that would do it. We had a HS football player that fell out of the back of a pick up after football practice a few years back. The truck was barely moving but the kids were messing around. The kid lived but has never been the same.

I'm sure the police will get it figured out, until then I feel sad for his kids regardless of the man he was.

RIP Feel bad for his children and family truly talented to guy! To you no heart having soles, hope people talk about you after your dead and gone! Henry seamed to be staying out of trouble and doing well or he wouldn't have playing this year. I seriously doubt he was going to try and beat her in front of her family come on people.

I hope the Bengals win out the season and bring home a ring in honor of him!

I do agree with you that no one should be jumping to conclusions that he was going to physically harm her, or anything else for that matter. No one knows what happened and that's not up to us to assume anything.

This is a sad ending to say the least. I never really liked the guy as a player, however I guess I always HOPE people can see the error in their ways and rebuild their life. Unfortunatley he will not have that chance.

Is there any truth to the rumor that the Chris Henry family has asked dlazz and Tiernan to give the eulogy?
