If Magic and Bird were a few years younger in 1992 I don't think there would be anything to debate.

6'9 guy backing his way down as a PG and could shoot any kind of shot and maybe the best vision of the court ever....was still able to do it then but wasn't in NBA shape.

I saw this and also Bill Simmon's reply which brought lulz

Bill Simmons ‏@sportsguy33 Put it this way: I wasn't crazy about Elton Brand and Chris Kaman playing together in 2006 when they were still good.

Apparently the t wolves signed Batum to an invalid contract. He can't sign till Sunday and he signed it Thursday and the wolves faxed it to Portland to pressure them into a sign and trade. Lol only Kahn

Commander of Awesome;1223814 wrote:Where do I even start..... First of all Knicks, Nets, Miami, Clippers, and GS all cleared cap space and hoped to sign a bunch of FAs so to say Riley is the only one who envisioned it is a fucking joke. Nice fail on that. LBJ and Bosh both straight up quit on their teams/city. LBJ even more so than Bosh, anyone who tries to say otherwise is a fool. Game 5 Celtics, nuff said. Bosh QQed about playing center in Toronto and leaves to.....PLAY a lot of Center for Miami. What a joke. Crying little bitch, LeCharles Bentley said it best when he came to cleveland, "They can put me at punter if they want to".

The Heat, Knicks, Clippers and Nets were all tanking and clearing cap space for up to 2 season before the supposed FA period. BSPN was letting Cleveland know the countdown fucking daily on sportscenter that it became a damn joke. It was horrendous reporting and big reason why I consider BSPN a joke of a network and wish I could invest in a reasonable competitor. They were flat out giddy at the prospect of the juicy storyline of LBJ leaving cleveland. Again anyone who doesn't see this in hindsight is kidding themselves. LBJ gave it all to get to the finals, and lost and QQ'd like a little fucking bitch. That when the whole can't beat them join them mentality started IMO. Olympics next summer.

As for the heat not tanking, excuse while I LMAO. Even your star Dwade was bitching about the lack of moves, and cap space shedding the heat was doing. Not surprised a bandwagon heat fan refuses to remember that though. Interesting how you conviently don't recall all of the bs sheninigans that led up to your team acquiring the "big 3". Even with the big 3, they had a hard time winning the championship and LBJ had to carry them. I hope he realizes that the Cleveland teams were good enough, and no matter what it's never easy. Would have loved to see the Heat go against a hard nose defensive team like the Bulls. Their road would have been much tougher and I would like to see how the heat would have handled it.

To end the pwnage, I would just like to say that your arrogance that the heat model is the correct way to build a team is a fucking joke. It's never been done before and its won one ring. Congrats. They earned it no doubt. For my money I will take a proven method that isn't up to the whim of a fucking douchebag 27 yr old quitter who I have to whine and dine, plead, and beg to come to my "super team". Give me the spurs/det/OKC model any day of the week.
Can't rep you twice within 3 minutes. You'll have to wait...;)

Lakers, Magic, Cavs Talk Three-Team Deal
By Alex Kennedy

The Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers have discussed a three-team deal that would send disgruntled superstar Dwight Howard to Los Angeles, according to sources close to the situation. The three teams have discussed a number of scenarios. While no trade is imminent, the talks are ongoing.

One scenario would send Howard to Los Angeles, Andrew Bynum to Cleveland and a package of picks and prospects to Orlando, according to sources.

The Lakers would land Howard, who they have been aggressively pursuing for quite some time.

The Cavaliers would acquire a second star to put alongside Kyrie Irving, one that they should be able to keep long-term since Cleveland has been mentioned as a team that Bynum will consider signing an extension with.

The Magic would acquire a number of prospects and draft picks as well as a significant amount of cap relief, which is exactly what they want in exchange for Howard. Rather than bringing in veterans who will keep the team competitive, Orlando wants to stockpile young talent and completely rebuild.

The Houston Rockets remain interested in Howard and they’ve also been in contact with Magic brass in recent days. The Rockets’ money is currently tied up in restricted free agents Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik, whom they’ve signed to offer sheets.

At this point, there’s no clear frontrunner for Howard, but the Lakers and Rockets are certainly leading the charge for the six-time All-Star.

Orlando TV reporter Dave Pingalore, formerly of Cleveland, reports trade of Howard to Lakers is "imminent." Source says Bynum wants to stay but would welcome deal to Cavs if it were to happen. Chasing this story now. Most of my sources, however, heard about it from me.

I'll take Bynum. Orlando can take anyone on the roster not named Kyrie.

Apparently Minnesota has offered up to 3 first round picks to get Batum in a sign and trade, and Portland has resisted even though they think he isn't worth $11 mil/yr?

I love Batum and I was really hoping the Cavs would make a run at him, but I have no idea what the hell Portland is waiting for. 3 first round picks? Paul Allen needs to stop being a pissy little bitch about it and pull the trigger.

Jason Kidd got arrested for a misdemeanor DWI. Gonna lose Lin, signed old players (Kidd, Camby) and Ray Fatton and now guys are getting arrested before even suiting up. Great week and a half for the Knicks!

Am I the only one a little confused by the amnesty process and bidding process. Or really just the bidding part.

What part of the bidding?

Any team can bid on an amnesty players salary. They bid the portion they are willing to pay, and the highest bid wins. Whatever portion is bid is the portion that team pays, the remainder is paid by the team that amnestied the player.

Ex. Player has salary of $10 mil. Gets amnestied.

Highest bid is $2 mil. Bidding team gets the player and pays $2 mil. Amnestying team pays remaining $8 mil, but it doesn't count against the cap.

Boom. Nice response. I wasn't sure if that's how it worked. Thanks!
