Use both. They each have their strengths.
I prefer PCs, because I like control. The ability to easily edit the registry, plus the selection of Windows-capable applications makes options more varied.
However, the Mac and its compatible software is phenomenal for my digital media display creation.
The "PC" (laptop) I bought was about the same cost as most Macs, and the performance is (in my opinion) better for the same cost.
The problem with this discussion is that people are trying to compare a $1,200 Mac with a $400-600 Dell or HP. Of course the Mac is going to be better. That kind of Mac was built to be better.
When you compare two that are built for about the same cost, you're going to get CLOSE to the same result.
