No doubt that this has to do with information being more readily available and people are able to see the obvious BS promoted by religious institutions. Information cures ignorance and when you think about religion nothing could be more ignorant. The pursuit of ultimate knowledge scored a victory today and for that we can be thankful. The percentage of Americans 30 and younger who harbor some doubts about God’s existence appears to be growing quickly, according to a recent Pew Research Center survey. While most young Americans, 68%, told Pew they never doubt God’s existence, that’s a 15-point drop in just five years.
In 2007, 83% of American millennials said they never doubted God’s existence.

It certainly made me happy since I don't know any young people that actually believe in god. This correlates well with my belief that religion is on its way out.DeadliestWarrior34;1197631 wrote:Did you cream your pants when you read this, sleeper?

How do you feel about religion, as you don't follow sleeper around enough to make it clear.fish82;1197545 wrote:How do you feel about religion? I'm a little unclear.

I'm under 30 for 8 more months. I'm going to start believing in god that day.

Still 68% of young people never even doubting the existence of a god. That's way too damn high.

Religous threads need to be in the basement or with politics....there is no room here for this conversation.

Then, what made us? Or, who, or what, rather altered our genes to their present form? Either one, if you know, sleeper. Or anyone else.

Evolution isn't really disputed by any credible scientist anymore; although evolution does NOT try to explain how we got here.

That is if by "we" you mean life in general. That's not something that Darwinian evolution is concerned with.sleeper;1197914 wrote:I don't know the answer to that question. No one does.

I'll do it, if by "how'd we get here?" you were questioning how evolution would have resulted in humans and not how life in general got here then the following charts should be handy.
