Spoelstra won't ever get credit even if the Heat win 5 titles but he's the better coach in this series thus far.

Been very impressed with Chris Bosh too. His stats won't show it but he's clearly been one of the keys to games 3 and 4. He's had more impact defensively than Ibaka and Perkins, and neither of them are doing much else.

If you remember last year, Bosh is the only one of the big three to show up for the finals. I always considered him soft, but he def showed up last year

There are people out there who don't give Phil Jackson any credit.

Exactly. Yet one of the main things we heard leading up was how big OKC's interior defense would hurt Miami. Not only has it done nothing, it has been the other way around. Outside of Westbrook making some crazy drives, OKC has got nothing else inside, Harden doesn't even attack and nobody else has scored around the hoop.

I never used to think Phil was anything special because he had some of the best talent ever assembled, but after really paying attention to the egos that you have to deal with...not very many coaches could make it work. Kobe and Shaq are both fucking idiots and he kept them in check for the most part. Jordan was a fucking asshole, but he kept everyone playing hard. Phil was a master of coddled sports egos...which is pretty much what a good coach needs to be.

Sefolosha has been terrible. Cook has been on the bench. Want to argue the past, Fisher takes the nod over the rest of them there. Perkins, hate to say it, because I admire his story...has been about as good as Joel Anthony this series :)

Not only that, but getting them to 100% buy into the Triangle.

Which is 100% why he won't take another job IMO. Dude's these days just want to play. They don't want to be coached. And the Triangle involves being coached.

Yes I agree. Heat have dominated these guys THIS SERIES. We are arguing who had the better supporting cast coming in. As in, this season. I dont see how its not the Thunder.

You say this, but I don't see why. I think a lot of it is perception. OKC has a few guys, notably Perkins and Fisher, who are vets and have been key pieces on title winners in the past. Neither are what they were during those titles and quite frankly, neither have that much value. I actually think Collison and Cook are a bit underrated, but then you have Ibaka who always gets talked up for some reason and Harden who people had just assumed was in the league of Chris Bosh.

Then you have Miami, who everyone perceives as "the big 3" and a bunch of fillers. It got perpetuated by the media as the downfall for the Heat, after last year's Finals when it was exposed. Not this year. Haslem had a good bounce back year. Chalmers and Cole are both solid and improving. Battier, hate to say it, is one of those guys you just let play for what he can do. Miller was a wild card, always has been since coming to Miami, but otherwise Miami's "others" are undervalued.
