With that said, I still hate it. To me, one of the biggest draws of group play is the chances of some of the better teams being knocked out so quickly.

I like that group play will be crazy with the 3rd place teams possibly advancing. Pretty good chance every team will have a shot going into the last day, which is awesome. But then the fact that the good teams are pretty much assured of advancing, that part sucks.
