Could be a lot of runs scored tonight. Last time I went to a Leake start he didn't make it past the 3rd inning. I'm guessing that won't be the case tonight. Either way, Reds lose 100-3. Joey Votto his a 3-run bomb to take a 3-2 lead in the 5th but the Braves play add-on late.

Braves are winless on Mondays. I don't think Minor will be the one to change that. No Chipper tonight either.

Yeah the Braves beat reporter tweeted that pic earlier today. Pretty cool. They'll give him one of the game used bases Thursday I believe.

Sort of off-topic but on topic, I put in my request with the Reds Authentics guys for 3rd base from the June 27th game. My wife and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary that day at the game. Pretty cool thing they are doing this year with the Authentics booth.

I bought a game used Miguel Cairo bat for $50 a few weeks ago from the Authentics booth. Before the season is over I'd guess I'll drop close to $500 there. The base will run us $150.

How does this work? Does the base go to the highest bidder for that particular game, or is it first come, first served once you put your request in?

First come first served. I put in an email request a few weeks ago to reserve it.

Pretty cool, plus a nice way for them to turn stuff they buy anyways into cash. Whoever thought of that got a raise. Is there a place at GABP one can check out? I'll be there thursday.

Pretty sure I heard during the Dodger game last night that MLB has an authenticator at every game. I'm guessing the GABP booth is independent of the MLB guy?

All of the authenticated stuff passes through the MLB authenticator and then an intern relays it to the buyer/booth. I know this because I applied to be that intern. Obviously I didn't get it. :mad:

Game used balls run $30+, depending on what happened that particular play. I just checked at the booth.
