Really though, how pathetic do you have to be to accept a job as a Canadian border patrol officer? How does one find themselves at that point in their life? How small does one's penis have to be to get off on that amount of authority?

I believe those are the ones that couldn't make it as a Security Guard. This is why I posted this. I am always really polite with authorities and such. But that does not mean that people should be detained/charged/beaten/etc because they aren't polite to them. They are not gods. The dude thinking that "which stores" was a hilariously stupid question (and it was) doesn't mean he needs to get bullied and detained. Would I have made a comment? Probably not or at least not the way he did. But this sort of thing shouldn't have happened either way and I'm sure it happens a ton and I'm tired of paying for people to be in jail for stupid little shit like this. I agree with you on everything up until you seem to not hold the patrol accountable at all. We don't live in a fantasy land, but do we allow people to abuse their power based on non threatening sarcastic statements? I don't think that is right.

Until it's illegal to be sarcastic or make non-threatening smart ass remarks the border patrol guy was the only one in the wrong. Canadien wasn't smart but that's not illegal. It was actually I wasn't going to drill into my bumper since there wasn't a mounting bracket for a front license plate.. but a pretty fair memory for something 9 years ago.
