Thats why I was overly cautious when predicting our pitching staff. I didnt like it as much as others. Guys with herky-jerky deliveries can be good to bad year to year, week to week, month to month etc. His release has a lot of movement, its so easy for it to get out of whack. Thats why I am so much more confident in guys who have compact motions (ala Clemens, Pettite, Verlander, etc). They wont get beat because of bad mechanics. Masterson has good stuff, but his mechanics get him into a lot of trouble.

Actually why I think Gomez may end up our best pitcher. He is pretty fluid and compact.

Agreed. It sucks to think about though because Masterson last year controlled his fast ball so well. I think at the deadline we need to go get a pitcher and a right handed bat possibly David wright? Carlos lee?

Well we won't have Dan Wheeler to kick around anymore... or opposing hitters to knock him around anymore.
The Tribe has DFA'd him after he couldn't get any one out today.

lol. Took long enough. That dude was the worst pitcher I've ever seen in a Tribe uni. It seemed every appearance he gave up a run.

They also DFA'd Jose Lopez around the 1st of May......he played yesterday for the Tribe at Boston....
