What the hell are you talking about? I'm saying that it doesn't matter what he did last night that Ludwick will be starting tomorrow AND no matter what Ludwick does that Heisey will start on Sunday. Why....because Heisey is from the area...not because he may or may not give the Reds the best chance to win.
My opinion on Heisey is this. Seems like a great guy...smarter than Freel (kept ball in front of him on a less than 50% dive and catch last night to keep runner to a single and out of scoring position when the Reds had a small lead) He seems like a guy that would go about 25 HR/80RBI/.265.....but will just never know. The only thing derived from his career is that he's a pretty good pinch-hitter.
I do not believe playing Chris Heisey will do much of anything to help the Reds.....but I have a problem with a player being assigned a "title" when they have never been given the consistent opportunities that most others get.
BTW....never cared much for Freel outside of his effort....but then his effort seemed to put teammates at risk.
