Supermanahan. Also, Kotchman is slow. I thought he might be able to score on that play, but he barely got to 3rd haha.

Probably in his arm. Cause with its inability to throw, it has to have a pussy.

Only when there are RISP with 2 outs... Which is ok with me.

Vinnie does work.

Santana has really improved his ability to gun runners down. That was a tough throw, though I thought the runner was safe lol.. Point remains.

Holy Fuck.

A. Pestano is a man
B. Santana has a cannon

I dont care what people say. Just needs to be more consistent with accuracy. Then work on the other parts of his "defense", cause he struggles with many areas. But he does have a cannon. That ball was in the dirt and he back handed it with his back to 2nd.

On second look, it does look like the tag was there just in time.

Santana is a stud.

Not this year. He has improved his defense across the board.

I agree. But past balls and he gets a little lazy on some WP with guys on base every once and a while. MUCH improved yes, but he can still get better. Its mostly about focus and staying hungry (ie, not getting lazy in 5 run games etc).

PRONK!

Also, I was listening to Hammy when they were in Oakland and he said he had talked to Sandy Alomar about Carlos. Sandy said that before Carlos was kind of focused on hitting, but now he's starting to take pride in being known as a defensive catcher. He's not quite there yet, but the attitude and effort are half the battle sometimes.

No doubt you can see it. Throwing alone has been impressive. But he has improved on every area immensely. Its great to see.

Also seems like he is much more confident in talking to the staff and giving his point of view. Which is also a great thing from your catcher.

Baseball is a funny game...you can look like shit...and leave runners all over the bases like Hafner did....then come out in your last at bat and be a hero. SMH. I love it.

I thought Carlos; future had to be at first base after last year. He was horrible. This year, he has been excellent in every aspect behind the plate. He probably blocked more dirt balls this year than all of last year. LOL.

His throw out percentage had to be up 40 percentage points to date.
