The point is, even if all 3 have the same production, you can actually be patient with Luck and RG3, because they are young. Weeden will be hitting the downslope of his fucking prime in year 2.

If he plays 3 years i'll be surprised. Your body doesn't recover the same at 29 as it does at 21

Apparently if you are in the NFL it does. Since his body has the same NFL mileage as every other rookie. Lolfail at that logic.

It's definitely a concern. But Warner did play 11 years.

passing on reiff and decastro is going to haunt us for a very long time (especially decastro then going to the steelers). i just want to know what the big hurry was in taking weeden so early? there's only about seven teams in the nfl that weren't completely sold on their qb going into the draft and that list dwindled on draft night. indy, washington and miami drafted their qbs in the first round so they were out. jax and minn aren't going to dump their first rounders from last season for a 28 year old rookie. seattle, kc and arizona have big money tied to their qbs and weeden isn't exactly a qb of the future. so with all that being said, who would have taken weeden? hell the browns could have probably got him in the third round

Why?

6 guards made pro bowl last year: 2 went undrafted, 1 went 3rd round, 1 4th, 1 5th...only Logan Mankins was taken in the 1st round. If there's any position you can get late/undrafted it's guard/right tackle

Taking short cuts isn't WIN NOW mode, it's being desperate and hoping people like you will stop crying. They were going to be drafting the same position next year regardless of who our QB is. Lol at thinking Weeden will make this team a winner right away. Luck and RG3 will be more productive than him, and the good news for them is they won't be 30 going into their next season.

For a young person your desperation for a playoff team is comical. Maybe instead of playing in a fail youth league that played on Sundays (allegedly), you could have watches the Browns last playoff team.
lol @ you. you must be mad your parents didn't allow you to play sports. sorry for playing sports when i was young and not becoming a young punk like todays teenage kids. nice fail though.

you think taking a short cut is drafting weeden? excuse me while i lmao. a short cut would be signing jason campbell or trying to get peyton manning and over spending for free agents. you guys are a bunch of cry baby bitches. they are GMs for a reason. everybody sucks bernie kosars dick and he only played 7 years in cleveland. just because he is 28 doesn't mean he is going to suck. its funny you think youre a bad ass and talk all this shit but you sit behind a computer screen.

EDIT: if weeden was 21 he would be a top 10 pick. secondly he is our qb, get over yourself and your obession with watching a shitty team.

How many did Chris Weinke play?.....sigh

I had to laugh at espn's coverage. When they showed all the Blackmon highlights when he was drafted...they were all terrible underthrows by Weeden. That's our guy..sigh. I hope I am wrong, but we will be sitting here in two years talking about who our next qb is...while discussing the new GM

The Richardson/Weeden combo doesn't make much sense to me.
I struggle with this as well but maybe the thought process is they still need to get a burner at WR to give the D something to consider with a big arm QB. With a RB/RT combo teams could still stack 7-8 in the box against us and force Colt to make throws which they could still defend due to his habit(necessity) to throw short.

A RT or WR could be had later in the draft as o-line still has value in mid rounds as well as this being a deep receiver draft.

Haha I laughed at that too.

I wasn't comparing Weeden to Warner for skill, moreso that Warner, at 28/29, was able to handle being hit for 11 years.

I hope I'm wrong, but I agree with Wes here 100%. We will be picking another franchise QB in a year or two, except that time it will be without a top tier WR or top tier OG.

Should be interesting to see but doesn't look promising. Would've rather gotten DeCastro then Russell Wilson in a later round. This is what H&H get paid the big bucks to evaluate though so let's see if they can do their jobs.

I know this doesn't really matter because it's not speaking directly to Weeden or Decastro but statistically the odds of finding a legitimate lineman in later rounds is way higher than finding a legitimate quarterback. The chance are that Weeden/5th round OG will pan out better than Decastro/5th round QB.

There are many QB's that play into their mid to late 30's. I wish the would have gone another route with the pick, but it's not like they drafted a 28 year old running back.

honestly i thought after the drafted richardson they would go wide receiver / best oline, then whatever they didn't take at 22 for the 37th pick. i was thought mccoy was the qb going into next year.

So says the guy who posts a lie on his signature line. If I were you I'd be real careful in talking about percentages/odds and the like...because clearly, mathematics is not your long suit.

My sig is a lie how?

This was your direct quote:

You said top 6 percentile for a person listed 6th in 25 person ranking. I'm lying how? My signature is 100% authentic and true to your stupidity. I've never ever seen someone continually bring up something in which they looked like a complete idiot and were 100% wrong about.

Why do you want to keep rehashing how dumb you are? Everyone has dropped the subject except you, which is just too funny.

Jeffery/Hill/Randle with their 37th pick and OL with their 67th pick possibly Allen from Illinois.
Problem solved.
