Sounds ironic, but what a dumb move to return to college. You gotta go if you are a 1st round pick. Too much risk -injuries, poor play (unlikely, but you never know), etc- Plus like others have mentioned there is probably going to be a rookie salary cap soon. You gotta wonder who was giving him advice

That's why I said ALMOST. Don't label me a "nut chaser," you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about.

Tampa Bay and St. Louis are currently battling it out for the #1 pick, if Tampa Bay gets the pick I think they will take a quarterback. Jimmy Clausen, in my nut chasing opinion, is the best quarterback in the country. That is my reasoning.

Why would TB take a QB? St. Louis won't either. I bet both would take Suh.

Tampa Bay's quarterback, Josh Freeman, has a QB rating of 55, including having thrown eight interceptions and no touchdowns in the last two games. I'd snag a quarterback. Suh is an excellent choice though, but can you honestly say you'd be absolutely shocked to see Clausen go #1?

Yeah there is no way in Hades that TB is taking a quarterback. They just took Freeman in the 1st round.

On the other hand, St. Louis could take a QB. Bulger has been ineffective for some time. They had some guy named Null who I had never heard of playing QB yesterday

Hahaha again, TB is not picking another QB. That GM would get fired the minute he made that pick. The owner is not going to shell out millions to 2 QBs 2 drafts in arow

I'd be fairly shocked to see Tampa take him--Freeman is a rookie, I doubt they've given up on him due to the last two games. Their team isn't that great and they need to build the defense back up. Not as shocked, but still sort of shocked to see St. Louis take him--I'm pretty certain they'd take Suh too.

Tampa will not take a QB(Unles Raheem Morris get's fired)

St. Louis would be the team to take a QB, they've rebuilt the OL and the DL. Only thing they really need now is a QB, WR, and some help at LB and CB.

The only position that makes sense for them in the Top 2 would be a QB.

^Not really. Eric Berry would be a good pick for them. And people seem to think they would take Suh.

I'd look for St Louis to trade back, get some picks, take Golden Tate and try to get lucky with a QB in the 2nd round. Worst case scenario you can try to make Bulger earn his money again next year, if you don't get anybody good.

I. M.O. this is a good move for him.
If he stays healthy even playing with a bad team like Washington he should be able to put up good enough numbers to impress the NFL people plus another year of experience can only help him in the long run.

Doubtful. He was projected #1 right with Stafford. I don't think he would be #1 in this draft even if his shoulder was fine.
That's not a fair statement. Without injury he could've lit the world on fire for all we know.

Yeah I heard that too. I mean Vick has shown some flashes, but just flashes. Heck he hasn't hardly been able to get on the field for Philly. And now St Louis thinks he can be their QB?

Well someone is going to give him a shot--he's playing behind McNabb lol, do you expect him to get on the field? They brought him in as a gimmick player and it's working well for them. But someone is going to give him a chance. Why not the Rams? What the hell do they have to lose?

Well he was supposed to be getting alot more snaps and touches than he has been getting. The fact that he has only attempted 13 passes tells me everything I need to know. Of those 13 passes he has complete less than half. One of those incompletions happened last night when he had a wide open WR and threw the ball behind him and was about 2-3 seconds too late

Doesn't really matter you think you know. Someone is going to give him a shot, again, what do the Rams have to lose?

The Rams have nothing to lose. But that doesn't mean they should throw money at a guy who hasn't been relevant since 2006

So they should throw MORE money at a guy that hasn't proven anything in the league? Vick will come a hell of a lot cheaper than Clausen. Makes more sense to me--why bring in a rookie QB on a shitty team when you have a chance to pick up some other GREAT talent and build the team up before you worry about finding a leader. And for all we know Vick will be better than he was--I don't know that he won't, you don't either. There can't be anything to lead you to believe he's more of a risk than picking Clausen.

He already impressed the NFL people though. His stock absolutely skyrocketed this year.

I think Washington will be solid next year. Sarkisian is doing a very good job of recruiting there. I think they'll win 7-8 games next year with Locker back, even though they play a pretty brutal schedule.

And St. Louis will definitely take Clausen if they don't get a QB in free agency.

Jake Locker will be the next Jamarcus Russell...just wait. WAY overhyped. I love watching Locker play but he is not as good as the hype.

Very stupid move imo. He was the #1 QB coming out this year by a lot of people. Next years class is slightly weaker, but all that will happen is his weaknesses are magnified. Even if he went #1 either year he gets a lot more money this year because next year they implement the rookie scale.
