It's UK and there's really no debate IMO.

Sure there is. We're debating it right now arnt we? Just saw a debate on ESPN about it too.

KU has 3 five star players in their starting lineup, one of the best PGs in the country, and ellis who was a 5 star recruit and had REALLY come along late in the season.

The starting 5 is just filthy.

The knock on arguing UK is...you can only PLAY 5 at a time. Is UK's 6-10 better than anyone? Yeah. They could probably field another top 20 team with their 6-10. However, I'm still struggling to figure out who will start for them.

Andrew Harrison at PG
Julius Randle at SF or PF
Willie Cauley-Stein at C

After that, it could be about a dozen different combos. Aaron Harrison or James Young at SG? James Young or Alex Poythress at SF (if Randle PF)? Kyle Wiltjer or Alex Poythress at PF (if Randle SF)? Dakari Johnson and Marcus Lee were the top 2 centers of this class, and could potentially see time at PF/C if they go big. Lots of possibilities, but I'd take KU's starting 5 really close to UK...Wiggins is that good.

It's sad. It happened with KU fans after Randle picked UK. You would think there would be some humility...but no.

Puts KU probably preseason top 4 at this point. Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan State, Kansas. Duke, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina and Michigan somewhere in the top 10.

Going to be a hell of a season.
I probably don't even have to say what my disagreement is, but it will be a fun season, I agree wholeheartedly.

It's splitting hairs with Duke...you could easily put them in there. I'm actually higher on Florida than most...addition by subtraction as Boynton, Murphy and Rosario were all players with limits. Chris Walker might be the most surprising recruit in the class.

Jabari Parker vs. Andrew Wiggins at the United Center in November is going to be fucking crazy. Wild fucking horses couldn't keep me away from that game. I will book that as soon as the tickets are available. My last visit to Chicago to see Duke was against Iowa State. This will be much better, I think. And Michigan State vs. Kentucky will be a blast as well.

The event alone will have 20 former McDonald's All-Americans.

Keith Appling
Quinn Cook
Branden Dawson
Kyle Wiltjer
Marshall Plumlee
Perry Ellis
Gary Harris
Amile Jefferson
Alex Poythress
Rasheed Sulaimon
Dakari Johnson
Marcus Lee
Julius Randle
Aaron Harrison
Andrew Harrison
James Young
Wayne Selden
Andrew Wiggins
Jabari Parker
Matt Jones

It will also feature at least 4 other players who are or possibly are 1st round picks next year, who were NOT MCDAA's (Adriean Payne, Wille Cauley-Stein, Rodney Hood, Joel Embiid).

The Champions Classic will be the premier event of the regular-season. Crazy that a four-team early season classic, scheduled almost four years in advance, will feature arguably the country's four best teams. At worst, you're looking at a field that comprises four of the nation's five best, if you want to include Louisville or UNC or Florida in there. Sick.

I don't have a team playing in that event but I think I'll get some of my UK friends to road trip for that one. Will be an awesome atmosphere.

Now that I have more time to post, I'll say that I completely expected a huge backlash from fans of the schools he didn't pick. When things go on this long, and fans get so into a recruitment, it's insane at the end. KU fans went nuts when Randle picked UK, and I knew as soon as Wiggins picked Kansas, that UK and Carolina fans were gonna go off. I haven't read too much online, but the majority of UK fans thought he was theirs, so I'm sure they really went off the deep end. Every fanbase has their crazies, and today Carolina's and UK's are out in full force. FSU is probably just talking football.

I thought all along that Kansas being an Adidas school would really hurt them, and after Randle picked UK, I pretty much wrote them off. It looks like the fact that Wiggins felt very comfortable with Self, the proximity to his brother, and the chance to be the man on what should end up being a very good team was what contributed to the final decision. I'm definitely disappointed that he didn't choose Carolina, not only for next year, but for the benefits that he could bring to a program throughout what should be an outstanding pro career. I'm pretty bitter toward Kansas for the last three NCAA meetings, and now this, especially after Carolina had been successful against them in the past. However, I respect their program and in the grand scheme of things, it could be worse. The Heels won't have to face him now...until the NCAA Selection Committee sticks them in the same region, like they do every year. lol

Without Wiggins, though, I'm not so sure Carolina is a top ten team next year. Their guys will be a year more experienced, and could be really good, but there are gonna be several stacked teams next season. Carolina will be weak at the 3 spot, and they still have no proven big man. I guess we'll see how things turn out.

I have to imagine that UK, UNC and Kansas were all on an equal playing field with Wiggins, and his brother playing in the state of Kansas might just have been one of, if not the, key deciding factor. I still contend that he had Wichita State in the final five, but just couldn't pull the trigger on a mid-major. KU was the next best option.

Obviously, KU, Bill Self and the Jayhawk tradition were just as big of factors.

My personal favorite tweet: "@22wiggins you're a pigfucking piece of shit and I hope you die in a plane crash on your way to Kansas"

I think that's perfectly rational considering the circumstances.
