I just think at that point in that persons life, they should be doing something else. If I'm a parent and I know there is some guy with no connection to a family or team going to watch my 9 year old's team play a sport, then I'm going to keep an eye on that person. I wouldn't just assume he's a pervert and call the cops, but I would definitely be wary.

That is beyond idiotic. Some communities take pride in their HS representing them in a positive way through sports. I have never seen successful programs discourage members of the community to not come to any sport event as a spectator, because they think it is creepy. Each school has their group of dipshits who still need to vicariously live their HS years through current HS athletes, and I think for some of you it has clouded your judgement.
