He and Sully looked pretty equal when I saw them. Zeller is 6-11, and that I do believe. So I will see how much taller he is than Nix. That isnt really the issue though.
BTW, yes, the NBA cares about defense. Not so much that they wouldnt take a guy. But it is certainly something they look at. No defense in the NBA is the biggest misnomer in basketball. It isnt like they go all out all game, like in college. But they definitely play much, much better defense than is given credit. A college team would have a very tough time scoring on NBA players giving the effort on D they give every night.
Either way, you pointed out his height. Thats all you took from my post? The NBA is played at about 11 feet in the lane. Sullinger cant get there, and never will be able to.
Can't get there and NEVER will? You talk as if you KNOW for certain and guys like Sullinger, ability and athleticism wise, have never been successful in the NBA? Come on, ur smarter than that.
No offense, but Sullinger will be a lottery pick. You can read this on EVERY mock site. Teams aren't going to waste millions of dollars unless they think he has the ability to be succuessful.
I am not saying he is going to be great, an all star or whatever. I dont' disagree there are some questions, no doubt there are. As I have stated before. I think HOW GOOD will he be, will be on him in how he goes about working on his game and weaknesses.
As for defense, believe me you, I personally know a former NBA player, have been around practices. Its not that stressed. Do they play it on occasion? Sure. But dont' sit there and brag about it when you yourself just said its not played every game, nite in and nite out for 4 qtrs. lol
And my point was, scouts are NOT there to evaluate how a college player plays defense.
