Anybody ever golf in Nashville? I'm going on a golf trip with a few buddies next weekend and we have some courses picked out but wanted to see if anybody knows some good courses.

Heading down to Tybee Island in a few weeks. I think my friend booked us some Tee Times at Harbor Town. Pretty pumped. Will be the first PGA Course Ive played outside of Ohio/Michigan.

straight off the tee is very important there. i was spraying my driver and kept having to hit low liners under the trees into some of the smallest greens ive ever played and it killed me

I'm heading to HHI in October, Laley, so let me know how it plays--and $$$ as well.

We are heading up to Treetops in mid August. I've never played any of those courses. Playing 81 holes over Friday, Saturday, Sunday up there.

Everybody says they are great tracks. Anybody played up there?

Tons of fun. Tough to judge what club to hit a lot of times with the huge incline/declines into the greens and on Par 3s.

Would you consider Chippewa a pretty nice course? I have not gotten to play much this summer. Only a few nicer courses. Scarlet a couple times and a newer semi-private course called Northstar in Sunbury. I'm looking for some nicer places to play. My course I play when I'm home is terrible. 6300 yards and I consistently am par or better. Is Chippewa long? Just trying to find some more newer, challenging courses.

Anyone else chime in if ya want. Any other nice public courses in the Central Ohio area.
Chippewa is ok.. nothing special. The front 9 is easy and is your scoring 9. The back 9 is tougher, especially with the "Bermuda Triangle".

Tiger with 4 birds so far on the front. Swing looks good. Bubba's looking good to with 3 birds so far on the front.

For me it's hard to believe Bubba is staying this well over there.

Tiger has hit every fairway, but can't seem to knock it close to pin in the last couple of holes. It is nice to be working from home this week :).

I really dislike that guys are -7 in the first freaking round of the tournament.

Question. How much would you pay for a golf membership (36 Holes). I can play year round. This course is right next to where I live. Both courses are 7000+ yards designed by Gary player. Slope 131 and 132. Would you get one and limit yourself to the course?

We're looking at joining one here b/c a few friends belong and it'd make sense. I'd miss traveling to different courses every weekend though as I'm sure 99% of my play would be now at 1 place. Playing at a club is definitely a better experience than playing with the public.

Yeah this is a full fledged country club, its $300 a month. So if I get 8 rounds in a month it's $37.50 a round, plus the other benefits of the club. It seems like a decent deal.

Which club are you looking at Zwick?

Haven't played there but I have heard good things about the course and pro's there. Food isn't bad either.

It's pretty old. Significantly cheaper than the other clubs. The course is nice and the pool is nice though. The food is good.. just everything is very dated there. That's ok with me though.

This is by far (at least the morning session) the easiest I have ever seen the British play.

Helps that it's wet and the wind is down.

Oh yeah, I know why. Just saying its so unusual. Everyone was 10 feet from the pin on every hole.

Phil is playing really well right now as well.
