Golf is only worth watching when a black guy is winning and making white people uncomfortable.

Not sure I follow this train of thought. You would rather someone quit with a BS excuse, instead of staying on the course and completing their obligation? I'll take going through the motions as opposed to a BS excuse to quit, anyday. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.Laley23;1202740 wrote:I've never seen Tiger check out when he isn't in contention. I've seen him quit with some BS excuses. But Phil goes through the motions more than any others. Tiger blew dick today, yet didn't quit and shot -2 on the last 11 holes. Phil just stopped trying today, based in the score.
If you don't realize the more TV coverage is a result in Tiger completely boosting golfs ratings, than just...wow.

Never said I like it when Tiger pulls out (lol), I hate it. Im saying people like Phil when he does the same stuff. But at least Tiger doesnt seem to mail it in when he is on the course. At least not nearly as often as Phil does.se-alum;1203141 wrote:Not sure I follow this train of thought. Congressional got walloped last night by storms, trees down everywhere.
Golf will start at 1PM. Only people on the course will be golfers (fans and volunteers told to stay home). There will be some adjusted rules because of all of the shit that will still be in the rough

I realize that he only plays in half the USA tourneys, but Adam Scott entered this week at 98th in the standings. He is projected to jump up 20-30 spots after today.

yeah, I saw it on the scroll on ESPN (he won by a stroke over Van Pelt)...tornado warnings took over Channel 11's broadcast, so I missed the last two holeskaren lotz;1216409 wrote:I'm guessing its over and Tiger won?

Yes. Hit it to about 15 or so feet on 18. Bo fell apart the last 2 holes.

I played my best 9-holes ever yesterday, and I know it's not good for most serious golfers, but I shot a 44. I parred 5 of the 9 holes. I quadruple bogeyed a hole cause I got stuck in a shitty bunker.

Damage control man. I walked 9 yesterday and shot a 37....hope this helps. Up to 36 holes golfed on the year.
Seriously though....congrats on your best round, it's a great feeling. Chipping and putting man....commit to it and you'll get in the 30's.

nice
the head of my driver snapped off this morning on the 15th hole. was weird because I didn't notice it until after I bent down to pick up my tee, ball took off like normal and flew about normal distance, but the head was just sitting on the tee box.

No doubt. I was 6 over on two holes, the other 7 I played 2 over. I usually shoot at least 50, but I made a small adjustment, and it made a huge difference. I didn't mishit an iron all day.Ironman92;1218488 wrote:Damage control man. I walked 9 yesterday and shot a 37....hope this helps. Up to 36 holes golfed on the year.

More than likely if you contact the company, they will send you a new one for free.karen lotz;1218489 wrote:^^^x2

Happened to my bro when we were first starting out. He snapped the shaft of his 7 iron. We contacted Wilson and they sent us an upgraded set from what he had. All we had to do was ship them the damaged set after we received the new one. He also sliced the hell out of his hand when he did it lol.

I played 18 holes 3 Sundays ago. Walked 9 last Thursday and walked 9 Mon morning. I cannot hit an iron with any distance....embarrassing.

Yeah that 37 had crappy irons written all over it, eh? Don't care how good your chipping and putting is...if you hit crappy irons all day you will not shoot 37.Ironman92;1218530 wrote:I played 18 holes 3 Sundays ago. I just want to get a good idea on what people are getting distance wise out of their irons. So, let's pick the 6 iron, what is your distance with it?? I get about 160-165.
