Joe Ogilvie out to the early lead with a few others. I played against Joe 3 times in high school....always on his home courses.
He'd shot consistent 30-32's on my home course....so he was decent.

Great putt by Tiger on 15. A little lucky I think by the reaction by Woods.

Tough to play well when your partners are a combined 12 over. Glad tiger is starting well. Major pressure on him after today though. I hope he plays well and runs away from the field.

Yeah, I would much rather watch the group of Brendan Jones, George Coetzee, and Gregory Bourdy.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:ccrunner609;1199652 wrote:TV coverage is terrible with Bubba, Phil and Tiger playing together. Its all we are going to get is this shit.

Do you understand how television works?ccrunner609;1200011 wrote:paalllleeease...........there are alot of good golf going on and you see none of them. Then the last hour of coverage will be Tiger highlights and interviews when there are great golfers on the course.

And ESPN/NBC....They. Do. Not. Care. About. You.ccrunner609;1200143 wrote:i dont care about ratings...I care about watching the US Open and not Tiger playing the US Open.
Your complaining about it stupid. It isnt even worth arguing. You just sound ridiculous. ESPN/NBC dont care about the US Open. They care about making money.

I knew before entering this thread I was going to see ccrunner in the process of derailing the thread. Where is skyhook to join the party?

Love the US Open being on the west coast. 730 and still plenty of golf to be played.
And some guys are making excellent shots today. Multiple bunker shots gone in as well as the double eagle from Watney.

I have a good bit of $$ invested with his fathers firm. He is pretty active in his hometown. I hope he can make the cut.Ironman92;1199624 wrote:Joe Ogilvie out to the early lead with a few others. I played against Joe 3 times in high school....always on his home courses.

I hate watching Tiger's every move as well, but it is what it is. I just don't watch when he's playing unless it's with Phil.

Get your "Phil" of it early, because it doesnt look like you will see him after today unless he shoots a crazy low score today.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1201158 wrote:I hate watching Tiger's every move as well, but it is what it is. I just don't watch when he's playing unless it's with Phil.

I don't see the problem. I've been watching golf on Sunday's since the early Greg Norman years when Paul Azinger, Craig Stadler, Fred Couples, Curtis Strange, Fuzzy Zoeller were the bigger names on tour and Nicklaus, Watson, Kite were still around the tour.
I like watching a little of everyone but don't have a problem with the showing of the popular guys on Thurs and Friday, they still show instant replays of other players. There is a ton of coverage and a lot action all-around.
I'm happy anytime they have coverage of Thurs or Fri rounds.

A crazy low 1 under? That's crazy... I'm not sure I could handle the craziness if I saw someone go under par.Glassy;1201192 wrote:Get your "Phil" of it early, because it doesnt look like you will see him after today unless he shoots a crazy low score today.
