Yeah, I'll make the drive down there if we can set something up. Doesn't bother me. Just need to figure out a time where we can all go.

All day I only hit one really bad shot.....never playing, I was awful from 100-175 all day, driving and chipping was like I never stopped playing......but only made a 6 footer and an 8 footer putting. My biggest brag....I had no 6's and nothing but pars and bogeys all 18 holes.
Use your footwedge....best 15th club in your bag.

I was a baseball player....as such...I never learned a decent swing. My swing better resembles a slap shop from the blue line. Nevertheless, at one time I was a 9 handicap and shot a few 76's. Now, I need to live to be 90 in order to shoot my age.

But man....great golf was better than sex....at least it lasted longer. I had 2 rounds whereby I had had 5 birdies. Tweet, tweet.

Me and my dad always run pools for the majors. Thought I would open it up and see if anybody on the OC wanted to get in. $20 entry fee. We had 28 for the Master's. 1st place paid around 300 and we paid 4 spots.

PM me with your email address if you are interested. I can give you all the details and we can figure out a way to square up the money.

Does anyone know if there is a place in Columbus that has the practice bays set up with the computers where you can test different clubs?

Looking for a place to play Friday. Im between Boulder Creek($55) and Roses Run($30) anyone played those two courses? Other suggestions for a course close to I-76?
roses run is a good challenge. its a long course (especially from the tips) but its not relatively tight (except for 12). always in good condition. haven't played boulder creek but i have heard it is one of the nicest in the area

if you look on golfnow tomorrow night, you should be able to get a tee time for a foursome at roses run for 17 at 1 pm on friday (you probably have more than a foursome however).

Granted it was back in 09-10 but I used to play both Boulder Creek and Roses Run frequently. I preferred Boulder Creek if it was in good shape. The last few times I went there the course was looking rough. But it's challenging and the 17th "island" green par 3 was always a fun one.

Roses Run was nice and probably kept up better but I'd still go Boulder Creek.

I haven't been there in a while but Golfsmith has them.

Boulder didn't have consecutive tee times at the time needed, so we're playing Roses.

Saturday we have four groups, mostly below average golfers, was thinking of scramble, shamble, and best ball per 6 holes... Any other suggestions, maybe to replace best ball?

9 and 9 scramble/shamble is more fun for shitty golfers.

Anyone use a TaylorMade Superfast 2.0 Driver. I hit it a the simulator down at the beach and liked it much more than any of the Callaway, Ping, or Adams drivers. They're going for about $170 now, and I'm seriously thinking about pick one up.

Agree, was wondering if I was missing out on another form of scramble format to incorporate. Do I have these right?

Scramble - everyone plays a ball per shot from the best selected shot
Shamble - Everyone plays there own ball after selecting best tee ball, either best ball or two ball from there?

We pretty much always play scramble with a big group. Also, everyone keeps count of how much beer they drink, then the team that has drank the most, gets to subtract the difference from their score.

There will only be about 20-30 provisionals hit today. It is pretty rare at the Open :/

I'm sure they did.
I'll hold judgement on what that does to you mentally until I'm playing for 1.5 million and infront of a few thousand in the gallery.

Well considering 99% of people can't stand over a ball without getting nervous with 2 people watching them.. I'd say you're wrong.
And considering they didn't let you even bring cellphones onto a course til recently.. I'd say you're wrong.
And considering every pro...including Tiger, yells at people for taking pictures during a swing.. I'd say you're wrong.

The difference is most professionals won't snap a picture until after the ball is struck.. your novices don't share the same courtesy.
