Yes it was. I was alluding to a Cleveland Sports promotion, I did not mean to imply that I was solely speaking about the Browns. I apologize for misleading you.

I don't think you were misleading me. I was trying to refresh my memory and thought you might help.

Thanks for doing so

No reason I can think of (sorry if I came off as choosing sides, people should do what they want).

The quarterback is trying to check out of the play...but he can't hear. It gets even louder. The ground is shaking. Ball is snapped and you can hear 70,000 people take a deep breath. The QB has nowhere to go. The pocket collapses...its a sack! 70,000 people go bananas. You high 5 the 10 year old in the row behind you. He's at his first game. You high five the 80 year old grandpa who has been going to games since they were a member of the All-American Football Conference.

That's what football is all about. Good lucking getting that on your couch.
You do get that one size doesn't fit all, correct? How one enjoys the game is far more individual than your post suggests.

But how does he know how he would enjoy the game, if he's never been to a game?

Derek Bomar already addressed that earlier.

I think we found the REAL reason he doesn't go to games:
because I don't want to sit with the most CHILDISH, bottle throwing fan base in the NFL? Idiots hold that "event" as some kind of "badge of honor." Really don't want to be associated with it. Have BETTER things to do with my time.

Pretty sad. I've pretty much lost all respect for BR, despite his knowledge of Cleveland football.

Friend of mine when to the steelers SB in detroit a few yaers ago and his was around 1800 for the ticket.

He said it was a blast and he would never forget it, but he also kinda wishes he woulda stayed home and watched it with us at the SB party

I think it would be cool to go....but unless at least 3-4 of my buddies would go I dont know if I really would want to. Just sucha blast to watch it at our parties.

Friend of mine went to both times the bengals were in the SB...I forget what he said he paid but it wasnt nearly that much of course.

To be honest, it's a combination of a lot of things. The biggest being that I have too much going on during Sunday's. I can't take an 8-10 hour block out of my day to go up there. If attending games is somebodies "thing', more power to them. I did a lot of that stuff when I was younger (Cavs, Tribe, Force, etc games). Just really don't WANT to do it now. It's the same thing with concerts. Used to go to a lot of concerts, sporting events, etc just choose not to anymore.

And yes, fan behavior (Bottlegate, fans throwing beers at 10 year old kids wearing an opposing players jersey and the like) hasn't really had me flocking to the stadium.

When I was younger, 80's/early 90's, I didn't really have any family members who would have been interested in going. THAT would've been the likely time period that I would've gone to games. Then, in 1995-99, they were gone. Those would've probably been prime years to attend too. Since then I've gotten more responsibility (job, family) and have different priorities.

It's now been revealed that our resident Brown's fan has NEVER been to a game. That is embarrassing enough, with or without my seal of approval.

I don't think attendance at a game is a qualification of being a fan.

Hope this helps

I haven't been to a browns game either. I have been to a ton of Indians games and a cavs game. I moved to pa when I was 19 so it is difficult to get to the games with my daughter, my job, money. My fiancé is an eagles fan so were going to make the trip this year for the browns eagles game.

My..My, you are sensitive. My post wasn't even directed towards you, it was directed towards a true fan who is willing to do whatever it takes to go to a Browns game.

Man, it's good to know that there are people on here who are able to tell whether someone is a "true" fan of a team or not.

If they would be so kind, after they explain the rules, if they could also explain why anyone should care, it would be helpful.
