Replace Cormier with Cain and I'd be excited.

I think Cormier and Cain would be an excellent fight. Jones vs. either of them would be really interesting.

I think DC and Jones might be a boring fight. I think Jones would just pick him apart from the outside the entire time.

Maybe, but I don't think DC would allow that to happen. DC would also be the first person Jones has fought that is probably stronger than him. If he can pick Barnett up and throw him on his head, he can do it to Jones too.

No denying his strength, but he has to get his hands on him to do that. I think Jones would keep him on the outside and not allow him to get a hold of him. I'd for sure watch, but my expectations would be low. Cain on the other hand I think would bite down on his mouth piece and blitz Jones.

Also - with how weak HW is, it's the perfect time for him to move up. He should beat Gus and DC then go fight at HW.

Why couldn't DC bite down on his mouthpiece and bully Jones? Jones would lose to quite a few HW's imo, part of his greatness is due to his strength/size.

I for one am starting to doubt my life, as I am spending way too much time thinking about the draft today and am not getting shit done. Fuck my job.

I don't think Cormier could hold Jones down even if he got the takedown. Staring was able to get back to his feet pretty easily against him and even stuffed some takedowns from Cormier. Jones would just be to fast and to long for him.

I think Jones and Cormier is also a lot closer when it comes to wrestling then most people think. Jones is one of the best MMA wrestlers there is and MMA wrestling is different then NCAA wrestling for sure.

on the other hand I think I would take Cain over Jones right now.

anyone see that Silva is a 2-1 favorite in Vegas over Matt Brown this weekend.

DC and Cain are near spitting images of each other in terms of fighting style and build. I'm surprised Brown is the favorite, Silva really hasn't beaten anyone great yet. That fight will be a war while it lasts though.

Except for their size difference which is 3-4" and 25-45 lbs and about a 5 inch reach difference. Size has been the one thing that has given Jones trouble.

Jon is going to have a height/reach advantage on almost anyone, including Cain and DC. Can he keep them off him the whole fight though and not get taken down? IDK but I can't wait to see.

I'm not sure we will get to see the Cain fight anytime soon I don't see Jones moving up to HW as soon as we all thought. Even Jones has back peddled and said he doesn't plan to move up very soon.

Because he'll lose, why move from a division where no one is going to beat you?
