Yeah, he appears to have an iron chin right now, which is just unfair. I would say it's also a stretch to say Lyoto "rocked" him. He hit him with a good left hand that made him back up but he never seemed wobbled or concussed in any way.

Hard to say, but he said that was the hardest and cleanest he had ever been hit.

It was a nice shot, but he was off balance and didn't go down. Either way Jones is a beast.

I don't think there was ever any wobble to his legs

I realize Rumble would likely get destroyed, but I've always wanted to see a Rumble vs. Bones fight. Idk why... but I feel like that would be a very entertaining fight.

After what I saw against Davis, I don't think he'd get destroyed.

Rumble is gigantic, has good defensive wrestling, and hits hard. As long as his gas tank stays full he's got a chance, i'd for sure watch that fight.

I've realized the past few pages that robj just doesn't like Jones.

The thing is I actually do like him, I think he's great. But the stuff he does is unnecessary. He doesn't need to intentionally poke guys in the eyes to win.

I wouldn't say it was intentional. I've seen Other fights with worse pokes then that. Jones has a long reach and hand fights of course he's going to poke some guys.

Worse eye pokes that I can rattle off.

Hendo on Rich Franklin
Rumble on Koscheck
Shields on GSP
Smith on Lawyer

honestly when you say the eye poke is intentional it makes it look even more like you just dislike Jones and let it cloud your view of him.

Just like everyone used to argue that Chuck Liddell used to intentionally eye poke someone. The way Jones hand fights causes the eye pokes.

Jones is using a Muay Thai technique. This stance of having his arms out close to the other fighters head allows him to control range and also throw elbows faster (His elbows are one of his best weapons). It is definitely a foul and I would have no problem with a point being deducted if he was warned prior (he was) but I wouldn't call using a known old school Muay Thai stance intentional.

Should a point have been taken? Yes
Was it "1000% intentional"? No way to tell, like said above its a MT technique to have your hand out, doesn't make it intentional.

Each time he kept putting his hand on Glover's forehead I was hoping Glover would knock him out. lol

If you are him (or in his head), then how can you know it was intentional?

Bones had his hand there the whole 5 rounds. He gets a finger in the eye twice. How often has Jones fought this way compared to how many times he's had an "eye poke?" I have seen a couple, and that's it. What's it do for Jones if he did it intentionally? He's already went through the downside of doing something illegal "intentionally" -- 2009 against Hamill with the illegal elbow, Jones' only loss.

Maybe the eye poke was actually Glover's fault since he moved his head where Bones' finger was?

Look at his left finger, he pokes him in the eye then moves in to do it again as Glover circled away. That was 1000% an intentional eye poke.

Look at Glover's head. He put it where Jones' hand/finger were. That was 1000% intentional headbutt to the finger.

I'm getting really excited at the thought of a Bones/Cormier fight.
