I think Tito's problems were always more with his neck, but basically yes. He had at least one fusion surgery that I know of. Backs are funny, some people have multiple herniated/bulging disks and have no symptoms. While others can become almost crippled by them. When I talked to Matt Brown he was talking about how much lifting he has been doing at west side barbell and he was getting special machines built for him. I'm sure he probably was going a little overboard with his lifting which helped cause this.

That is a shame I would of liked to see how he did against Condit. Yes, a bulging/herniated disc is what put Tito out, but it was up in his neck.
The Hunt/Silva fight was an amazing fight.
Watching live, I thought Hunt won 3 of 5 and was surprised at the draw. Looking back on it I can see a draw or a Hunt win, I just couldn't stomach a Silva win in that fight.
Either way it was an amazing fight between what has to be the best 2 chins in MMA.
