Smaller weight classes always get a bad wrap about not being able to hurt people and finish fights but the reality is that anyone can be knocked out, regardless of weight.

Yeah that would have been a war, prelims were great tonight. Hearing rumor or Diaz vs Condit 2 possibly.

Dana says Nick turned the fight down, but said he may come back in May?

I hear Diaz said he wants to sit out until late spring then fight the winner of Hendricks vs ruthless. Lol I don't think Dana's gonna go for that one

No he's not getting that fight, he should take this fight or fight Kampmann, gets him right back in the picture.

Did you see McDonalds back? Yeesh. If he wasn't a bean pole I'd think he was on the roids.

Yeah he's like 22 though right? Rory is the same way, and has been accused of being on PED's in the past.

I'm hoping for Faber v Cruz 3. I don't think Cruz will beat Barao though.

You have to hand it to Faber, he fights whoever they want and usually looks good doing it. I don't think he has much of a chance against Barao though.

What a tough loss for Benavidez. He has now lost twice to the champs at 125 and 135. He just has to string together some wins and hope someone can knock off Johnson. Although Johnson is getting close to immediate rematch status if anyone beats him, if he isn't already there.

The immediate rematch is moronic, imo.

I pretty much agree, buy flyweight is not a deep division so I am guessing he would get one.

The only time there should be an immediate rematch is when the fights ends in controversy. Although I do think Anderson Silva also should be given the rematch.

I think Silva puts Weidman to sleep. He had the same mindset as GSP going into his last fight and losing lit a fire under him. I don't think he clowns with him as much.

I think Weidman either submits him or wins a decision, people forget that Weidman was winning that fight from start to finish, was landing big shots on the ground and looking for submissions. I want Anderson to win but Weidman has the style to exploit Silva's weaknesses.

I think Silva took him lightly and wasn't motivated and that's why he looked so good against him. I really think he gets finished.

I think Silva wins if he is motivated to win. The biggest question for me in this fight is if Silva really wants to be champ anymore or if he has already moved on and wants to pick and choose fights he wants to take and not worry about the hassle of defending the belt. I honestly feel like in the first fight he didn't want to win and saw this as his chance to move on and do what he wants for the rest of his fights.

Silva has the game plan. Weidman has already said what he is going to do. If he tags Silva again Silva will go to sleep just like the last time. Silva had better move and run to win this fight.

If Silva is not motivated then why did he take the fight? He could just skip this fight and do what you are suggesting.

No offense, but did you see the first round? Silva didn't start clowning until late in the 1st and Weidman was beating him bad up to that point too.

That's what I was trying to say, Weidman was dominant everywhere int hat fight. Silva can absolutely win this fight but it's not fair to him or to Weidman for people to continue to make excuses like he didn't take the fight seriously and blah blah. We are talking about MMA at the highest level, guaranteed Silva trained his ass off for the fight and knew that Weidman was dangerous, you don't get to the level that he has achieved by taking people lightly.

I agree with this.

Silva move and run? Are you serious? I just think Silva took the fight to get paid and thought he could go in there and win without much effort.

Money and it's his fucking job. As i said, i just think he thought he'd win on talent alone and wasn't motivated.

I don't care when he started clowning, I don't believe he was in the same mindset as his other fights.

.
Did you see any of Silva's other fights?
I am a big Silva can but he has been "clowning" like that for quite a few fights. When it worked all the Silva nut huggers used it as proof he was the best ever. Now it was proof that he wasn't motivated for the Weidman fight.

I predicted that would happen. That the dilusional fans that have used his clowning as proof he was the best ever would now use it as an excuse for getting KO'd. You can't have it both ways.

Condit vs Woodley bothers me. Carlos is likely at a higher level than Woodley but he's obviously dangerous.
