Wow that was crazy, fight should have been stopped when Reem threw like 30 unanswered strikes though on the ground, he has to be sick right now

At first I thought it might have been an early stoppage. Glad it was as Reem would have been pummelled by hammer fists.

Loved when he grabbed around the neck then jumped up on Rua's hips and fell to his back. Awesome and gutsy move. When he popped it he knew he had it.

Not his first time. Also did it when Stann tapped out against him. The Wife hated him until she got to see his act over the next few years.

That he is and I get it...others might not. Still a huge tap out in the first round. People were speculating who would last in a fifth round match up.

LOL Rua...i didn't think he'd win but definitely didn't think he'd get embarrassed. Time to retire, no interest in seeing him fight anymore. I'm sure Belletor can get him a competitive fight, maybe the winner of Tito and Rampage.

No gas tank or mobility. He was lucky to ever be UFC champ imo.

Shogun just can't move anymore. A trillion knee surgeries will do that too you.

Brown never stopped defending himself and everytime Yamasaki said to "move" he did trying to get up.

Now, if your argument was that it was stopped too soon when Reem was on his back I could have accepted that argument. However, anyone who says it should have been stopped when Reem was landing his wasn't watching the fight close enough. He was taking hard shots, yes, but he was coherent and fully defending himself the whole time.

He was turtled up against the cage and ate over 30 huge shots consecutively although they were partially blocked. That to me is not intelligently defending yourself by the rule. He did work his way back too his feet after some time but I felt it should have been stopped. Reem gassed himself out throwing that many huge shots when he thought he had him finished, I think any HW other than Cain maybe would have been done after that too. Unfortunate but that's the way the sport goes. Smash a guy for 4 minutes and still lose because of one strike, that's why we all love the sport and watch, anything can and usually does happen.

Overeem also landed an illegal knee in his barrage if you rematch th fight and still couldn't get the stoppage. Browne was covering up blocking almost all of those shots besides the knees. He was also able to work himself back up. All Overeem had to do was either KO or keep Browne down on the ground and the fight was over but he wasn't able to do either.

Yeah I did notice the illegal knee, don't think it was intentional but couldn't believe the ref didn't intervene.

Rare interview with UFC match makers Joe Silva and Sean Shelby. Nice to hear their perspective. I have to admit I also criticized the Mendez vs. Cody McKenzie fight.

Can't wait for Condit-Kampmann. Condit is my favorite active fighter.
