There really are two events on this weekend, one of friday and one on saturday, how sick is that?

Lol Country is still around? I havent watched TUF in years. Thatll probably change when they do the Bones vs Chael though. That has the potential to be more entertaining than Rampage Vs Rashad TUF

Yeah I still watch it here and there, good they are putting stars back on there. That season was awesome, hope Jon fires right back at Chael on the show, although he doesn't seem like a trash talker really. Big Country vs Mitrione should be a great fight.Hb31187;1339979 wrote:Lol Country is still around? I havent watched TUF in years. Thatll probably change when they do the Bones vs Chael though. See those reports that Ben Henderson fought while chewing on a toothpick? That's crazy.

Yeah that is nuts, and dangerous for both him and Diaz. There is a picture going around of Ben poking Nate with a toothpick in the eye but it HAS to be a photoshop, looks real though.OSH;1340110 wrote:See those reports that Ben Henderson fought while chewing on a toothpick? That's crazy.

Yeah that point was already made on the previous page...just sayinHb31187;1339957 wrote:Not pissy persay about it, just that politics are messy and not really fair to other fighters at times. Itd be like the Colts reaching the SB and the Redskins losing in the NFC championship game to lets say the Falcons and the NFL saying " Well, Atlanta even though you won your last fight and earned your right to be in the Superbowl, RGIII vs Luck would be a much better selling point for us, so we're gonna let them advance even though they lost". Also helps that I despise the diaz brothers lol

UFC making title fights based on a champion calling out a challenger and not who earned it is what the WWE does. They make match ups totally based on money because they're a PPV model too. UFC wants to be a sport, but they're "sport entertainment" at this point like the WWE.

I mean I still think Joe Silva does an excellent job as a match maker, but I'm sure Dana and Lorenzo have final say.

9/10 it's the right match up. But it only takes a few head scratcher's to go "wtf are they doing?"robj55;1340495 wrote:I mean I still think Joe Silva does an excellent job as a match maker, but I'm sure Dana and Lorenzo have final say.

And the bigger the match up the more it is going to be scrutinized.Raw Dawgin' it;1340498 wrote:9/10 it's the right match up. But it only takes a few head scratcher's to go "wtf are they doing?"

Of course - main stream isn't noticing the right match ups because making the right match ups are his job. It's like asking for praise because you didn't end up in jail. But these big ones like GSP/Diaz and Jones/Sonnen are definitely head scratchers since Sonnen is a middle weight and Diaz recently lost and was suspended.robj55;1340506 wrote:And the bigger the match up the more it is going to be scrutinized.

Mitrione looked really improved but got too comfortable in the pocket, Roy has serious power and an unreal chin. That Pat Barry was fucking vicious!
