I think the thug thing doesn't fit, they don't have criminal records, by all accounts they are really cool guys and easy going and are fan friendly. They approach mma as a fight, not as a sport. They look at it like it's just us two in there and you're trying to knock me out and take me out and they react accordingly. Hell they are vegans for christ sake lol How many thug vegans are there lol

I don't see Diaz winning this fight at all. He has big problems with bigger and stronger wrestlers. Bendo can take a punch too, Edgar tagged him a few times and he never showed signs of wear. Did anyone see him fight Cerrone? No way he gets submitted, just my opinion though. I think Bendo wins by submission or TKO from ground and pound.
As for Shogun, I'm down for an exciting fight, but as i said before, him winning does nothing for the division.

I would give Ben less than a 10% chance of finishing Nate. Nate has never been stopped by strikes and I can't even remember him ever being hurt in a fight, he lost by submission a looong time ago but definitely holds the bjj advantage in this fight. If Ben gets caught in a sub like he does in almost every fight Nate will finish, wrestling is Bens only path to win this fight IMO. He lacks power on the feet and he isn't going to submit Diaz IMO.

I look for Bendo to use lots of leg of kicks, because the Diaz brother both have wide boxing stances that invite them. Bendo is disciplined enough to to keep using them (unlike Cerrone) and I think that will be key in his decision victory. If anyone gets a finish I think it will be Nate.
Gustafson by TKO. Shogun is so slow these days.
Rory by decision.
Swick by sub.

I've seen Ben Henderson submitted before in competition so he can be subbed. I can't see him finishing a guy who is tough as shit, Bens 5 wins in the UFC have all gone to decision and I thought he lost the rematch with Frankie in Denver. I just hope it's a fast paced non stop action fight. I've read that a lot of people think it could be a candidate for fight of the year, hopefully that comes to fruition.

I'd love to see Diaz win a belt and I want to see how Bendo reacts to the in cage taunting. I actually really enjoy how they fight, they always seem like they're fighting for so much more than they are. They've even said the mean mugging and trash talk is to get them into fight mode. Nate was cool with Cowboy after their fight, but leading up to it he said he has to hate the guy.robj55;1336882 wrote:I've seen Ben Henderson submitted before in competition so he can be subbed. I'm just not overly impressed yet with Ben Henderson, I don't think he is a great fighter, I think he is a big, strong, great athlete for 155. I thought Frankie beat him twice, Cerrone got robbed in their first fight in the WEC. He has yet to have a performance that has really won me over and to where I've really considered him the champ, I think he is very beatable.

Don't get me wrong, I respect his skills and his work rate, but I just think he is very good, not great. He also rubs me the wrong way with some of the stuff he says. I remember him saying that he is going to one up Anderson Silva's title defense record, like seriously? Anderson is dominating people, knocking them out and submitting them and Benson has been gifted very close decisions, he shouldn't even be in the same breath as Anderson, that's disrespectful imo.

He's similar to Jones, but the way Jones comes across rubs me the wrong way. I really want to see Ceronne get a title shot. A rematch with Ben or Diaz would be great.robj55;1337010 wrote:Don't get me wrong, I respect his skills and his work rate, but I just think he is very good, not great. Cerronne got a beat down from Diaz. I think he set a record for punches landed in that fight I don't think we need that rematch.

He got suckered into Diaz's game. I'm sure it'd look different a second time around. Cowboy needed to stick to the leg kicks and work his kickboxing more.sportchampps;1337518 wrote:Cerronne got a beat down from Diaz. Nick Diaz and GSP fight is supposedly next. Rounda Rousey vs Liz Carmouche is the first women's fight in UFC history and will headline UFC 157 in Anaheim over Hendo and Machida.

Wait, is the Rousey and Hendo/Machida fight happening on the same card? If so that's a sick card.

I think I read where unless there's another title fight on the card the women's championship will always be the main event

Yeah title fights are always headliners, and if there are more than one the heavier weight class will main.sportchampps;1337754 wrote:I think I read where unless there's another title fight on the card the women's championship will always be the main event
