Cormier would destroy Mitrione and he knows it. Rashad has more money than he knows what to do with, he doesn't need to fight anyone if he doesn't want to.Fab1b;1284734 wrote:What is up with the fighters turing down fights?

So its a win/win for Mitrione, he loses no harm but if he wins wow he gets posted to the mix
Rashad still, forget the money, he's a fighter, wants back in the mix for the title. Shogun ducks, Rampage hurt, Rashad ducks this Teixeira????
Throw in Jones with Sonnen, Machida with Jones......not good for the sport leads to freaking Silva vs Bonner, really?

Someone like Mitrione shouldn't be ducking fights. I heard he wants to fight Rampage for some reason.

There are circumstances to why each guy would turn a fight down. Rashad was no where near weight and out of shape from what I've read. Machida only had 3 weeks to prepare for the best fighter on the planet right now, and he had already fought and lost to him once. If he comes in not prepared and loses again he may never get another title shot. Mitrione said he wanted to fight soon and wasn't thrilled with fighting Phil DeFries, so I'm not sure why he would turn down a huge fight with Cormier who is in most people's opinion a top 5 HW in the world.

The only one who has no reasonable excuse to have turned down a fight was Mitrione. Don't turn down a fight with a top flight HWY to pick a fight with a faltering, aging LHW.

Maybe mitrione didn't wanna be on a strike force card. I'm pretty sure strike force still doesn't offer fotn, ko and submission bonuses. Maybe he feels like he has a better chance to win and earn a bonus against a less talented fighter. Plus from what I've read the lower level fihters like mitrione earn more money perfect based on past number of wins. I think your first fight is 4k if you win your next is 8k then 16k and so on.

I think Bas might be an OCer based on his tweet to Nate Marquardt about his new movie Here Comes the Boom:
<s>"@</s>NathanMarquardt what did you think of the movie Nate? Pls be honest! "
Bolded the important part.

Who does everyone think will win on tonight's card?
I'm also looking forward to seeing how former WWE star Bautista does in his MMA debut this Saturday. Hopefully I can find a link to watch it.

I'm glad you said something, there are so many cards now I honestly lose track. I have to make sure I go straight home and set the DVR.bigdaddy2003;1287541 wrote:Who does everyone think will win on tonight's card?

I think the Fuel prelims are actually better than the FX main card tonight.

Ah I don't have a clue really who is fighting on the Fuel prelims but now that you mention you think they are better I will record them.jmog;1287731 wrote:I'm glad you said something, there are so many cards now I honestly lose track. I have to make sure I go straight home and set the DVR.

Btw hallman said he missed weight due to personal issues and that Dana was going to pay him his fight pay and win bonus to help him out
This makes it sound as though hallman is dealing with something serious at home.

Jeremy Stephens was also arrested in a hotel near the arena and there's no word on when he will be released and if he will be able to fight

Bigfoot knocks out Travis Browne after Browne appeared to mess his knee up badly. The Ellenberger-Hieron fight was awful, looked like a light sparring session, no one engaged. Ellenberger use to be a killer.

Apparently Browne tore his hamstring, said he heard it pop 3 times when he threw his first kick.
