That was not a practice/sparring session, it was not a sanctioned fight, it was a photo op and he hit the other guy.
I'm a HUGE Silva fan, but I believe you are only saying this is 'ok' because it is Sonnen. If it were anyone else you would call it a cheap shot.

I wish it wouldn't have ended too soon. Fuck you Sonnen for taking a too early big risk and having it backfire. As soon as his ass hit the ground he knew he was screwed.

That knee was brutal, at first I thought it was an illegal knee to the head from the angle shown. So impressive that Anderson stopped Chael with strikes, Chael is as tough as they come. Anderson is one of the best fighters ever, maybe the best.

Actually it was very close to illegal. I had to slow motion it to make sure. If his quad would have hit the face before the knee hit the body it would have been illegal. After the first round I thought it'd be a long fight for Silva, but at least it ended with a finish. The mendes body shot was brutal and I thought Tito was going to pull out a decision. I thought he had rounds 1 and 3 but the strike stats show he got beat up.

The knee hit him direct in the middle of the chest the thigh barley grazed his chin. It was very similar to the knee rashad used to beat Tito in their fight. No one called that illegal. It's only haters complaining today.
