Huge Silva fan, but that was retarded, you can get fined or even DQ'd for crap like that.

The shoulder doesn't bother me, Chael Sonnen has been unbelievably disrespectful to Anderson Silva, honesty Chael deserves worse than that with the shit that he has said.

They get to be locked in a cage and fight tomorrow, what is the possible point of shoulder bumping someone to the face during a pose for photographs the day before?

Sonnen may be in his head, but Silva is one of the guys in the UFC I wouldn't want to piss off.

I seriously think Silva is going to destroy Chael to prove a point.

Can't wait.

But, I will throw a disclaimer out there so I can flip-flop if need be.. Chael is the one guy who can exploit Silva by getting him to the ground. Chael can't just lay on him though, he has to do some damage.

To send a message, that was exactly the intention.

Completely agree with what you said, Chael has a perfect style to give Anderson problems and beat him. I expect Anderson to make an example out of him though and smash him on the feet, in the clinch, or wherever the fight will go. If he gets taken down he can't stay on his back in full guard. Two guys who had success against Chael getting up off their backs were Yushin Okami and Michael Bisping, and that's because they used the butterfly guard. If he can use butterfly guard to stand up he is going to win going away. He needs to remain patient and pick his shots on the feet and use good footwork to circle away. Chael is not stopping Anderson Silva, meaning he has to fight a guy that dangerous for 25 minutes to beat him, I don't see it happening this time.

The weigh ins were fucking insane! 8,000 people is the largest amount of people at a weigh in in combat sports history.

He's already said that ad nauseam, as well as making contact with him at the media day. Did he think the shoulder bump to the face was really what would make Chael/everyone else "believe him?" Give me a break.

Anderson has always had this problem. He has no idea the person he wants to be seen as from fight to fight. One fight he's captain respectful, the next he's making up reasons to get angry at someone like Demian Maia. One fight he's destroying people in brutal fashion in 3 min, the next he's dancing around making a mockery of the sport for 25 min.

Unfortunately, no matter how rattled Chael gets him, I don't think there's much of a chance Anderson loses this.

I can't explain his actions either, the Maia fight he was talking shit to him and saying, "so you wanna do jiu jitsu playboy" and all sorts of other stuff, other fights he is respectful and acts like a martial artist. I do think that most fighters that have fought him fear him, outside of Chael Sonnen and Cote when they fought. To your last point, there is absolutely a chance of Chael winning this fight with his wrestling, pace and top control.

There's a chance of course, just not much of one IMO. Last fight, everything that could possibly go right for Chael did. That's unlikely to happen again. Additionally, it's much easier for Anderson to make adjustments to Chael's game than vice-versa.

I don't see this being particularly close to be honest. I think Silva stops him inside 2 rounds.

The thing about Chael, is he is so damn tough. He pace is relentless and almost unlike any other fighter. He has a very awkward style and rhythm on the feet that it may be hard for Anderson to find his timing, and he is most certainly a timing fighter. His opponents usual timidity helps him to get his timing, Chael won't give him that luxury.
