Awesome game. Stupid penalties bit the Patriots in the ass at key times, 12 men on the field after the fumble recovery and offsides on 3rd and 7. That and just some missed opportunities, the 2 fumbles, a bunch of dropped balls, and Brady under throwing Gronk after a great play to not get sacked.
Thought it was a great game and nearly had a heart attack on how close that hail Mary was. Definitely won't rip on Eli but man am I sick of NE chocking to the giants ha.

Who says Brady should be considered elite. He hasn't won a Super Bowl since the cheating stopped. Oh and the guy that beat all mighty elite Brady.....Eli Manning. TWICE.SportsAndLady;1076765 wrote:It's a fair point. And I'm not saying Eli just got lucky, my whole point is he's not elite. He's not Brady. He's not Rodgers. He's not Brees. He's in the next tier.
But Victor Cruz is really ****ing good though lol

You're laughable...no I am not butt hurt or whatever the hell that means. I just don't understand the vitriole towards Eli Manning.
My team and their win loss record is irrellevant to this conversation. Although my team was a liz-franc injury away from winning the Super Bowl this year.

So the Saints receivers are good because of Brees but the Giants receivers are good in spite of Eli Manning?SportsAndLady;1076727 wrote:Well ya just lost all credibility w/ the Ocho and Housh reference...you should be shot for that.
Who is THAT great on the Saints? They have Drew fuckin Brees throwing to them, of course they're gonna look good. Just look at Sproles, in SD he was decent, sure, but soon as he had Drew Brees throwing to him he was pro bowl snub good...you think he just switched overnight?
How are those Colts receivers doing w/out Peyton?
Rams and Vikings had some great WRs, as did other teams...hence why I said one of the best, not the best.
You are clueless.
"Pro Bowl snub good" that doesn't even warrant a comment.
Eli Manning is 8-3 in the Playoffs and 2 Super Bowl wins and 2 Super Bowl MVP's. That's better than Brees,Peyton,Rodgers,Big Ben and everyone else not named Tom Brady.

She's decent but definitely not "elite" like Giselle is. Probably never will be in the "elite" class.

I don't know whether this was discussed in the thread or not, but I think Tom Coughlin (intentional or not, I don't know) came across a very effective strategy in the closing minutes of the game. That 12 men on the field penalty was completely worth it; I'd definitely give up 5 yards in that scenario for 8 seconds off the clock. I wonder if someone will intentionally use that next year in the closing minutes after seeing its effectiveness in the Super Bowl. I know you can't end the game on a penalty, but it would be useful in that second to last play of the game.
That being said, if I'm the NFL Rules Committee, I definitely look into changing that penalty that if it's under 2 minutes, it's 5 yards AND the time gets put back on the clock. It's just anti-competitive in nature.

You're literally just arguing everything I say..I could say the Giants played a good game, and you'd be like "so they didn't have a great game? It was just a good game? They just won the Super Bowl, I think that means they played more than just a good game." Just STFU. We differ on OPINIONS on whether a QB is elite or not; it's a matter of opinion that right now I'm never going to change. You don't see me constantly bringing up fallacies in your religion do you? Because (i) I know you're not going to change and (ii) I'm not going to argue opinions or things I can't 100% prove wrong.Skyhook79;1076916 wrote:So the Saints receivers are good because of Brees but the Giants receivers are good in spite of Eli Manning?

The Saints are receivers ARE good but they're not great. My opinion is that the Giants receivers are great...has nothing to do w/ Eli Manning..LOL @ "In spite" yeah because that's exactly what I said..STFU
Pro Bowl snub good...AKA he's good enough to be considered by most a snub for the Pro Bowl. What about that phrase can your old ass brain not wrap around?
Yes we know Eli's playoff record, and his Super Bowl records, and his SB MVPs...yeah, we know. We also know Robert Horry's playoff record, and his NBA Championships, and his clutch shooting in big games. And we know those are better resume's than players like Lebron James, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Allen Iverson, etc.
But there are some things you are able to look beyond stats, and make your own opinion. An eye test, call it. I can watch two players and say that one is better, based on my own opinions, not some team stats. Like, Karl Malone is better than Robert Horry. Yes, I know Malone doesn't have the resume' like Horry's, but he's better. Yes, I know Eli has all those rings, but he's not better than Rodgers, Brees, or Brady...so he's not elite. It's my opinion. Now suck on my dick.

ROFL
Brandon Jacobs knows nothing about the high road.
The New York Giants running back ripped Gisele Bundchen on Tuesday for comments the supermodel made defending her husband, Tom Brady, after Super Bowl XLVI.
"She just needs to continue to be cute and shut up," the victorious Jacobs told reporters at the Giants championship parade in Manhattan.
Gisele was caught on video criticizing Patriots receivers after Sunday's title game. She was reponding to a heckler inside a Lucas Oil Stadium hallway who said Eli Manning owns Brady. "My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time," she said. "I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
The comments were recorded by the gossip website, theinsider.com.
Jacobs comments would be insulting enough if they came from somebody who played a big role in New York's victory. But he was so inconsequential in Super Bowl XLVI (nine carries, 37 yards) that nobody would have taken the time to heckle his wife.
Osi Umenyiora was more understanding of Bundchen's comments.
"I mean she's supposed to stay out of things like that," said the Giants defensive end."But at the end of the day that's their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to."
And that's what lost in this whole thing. Yes, Gisele is a world-famous supermodel. And, yeah, she probably should have known better than to take a heckler's bait in front of video cameras. But forgetting about her swimsuit pictorials and Victoria's Secret commercials and hundreds of millions of dollars and she's still a wife defending her husband.
