Mike Brown won't last 2 seasons in LA.

Question after the game to Kobe: "Kobe, how much of a work in progress is the offense right now?"

Kobe: "It's under construction, we're still working on the blue prints actually."

Then later Mike Brown: "I want to see the guys fight, and they did."

All of that says is Kobe realizes Mike Brown has no fucking idea what he is doing on offense. And Mike Brown can only talk about hustle, because he doesn't know what the hell he is doing.

What it says to me is when you have run the triangle offense for basically your entire career and when you have a lock-out that took away a lot of practice time and you are trying to install a completely new system with a completely different Coach it is going to be under construction and a work in progress. You do realize the Lakers have played 16 games in 25 days that doesn't leave a lot of room to work on things.

Wouldn't know why they'd even want to. Use your fame to bang everything that moves (using protection...unless you want to be the next Shawn Kemp) and then worry about marriage or settling down after your career is over. Besides, if you're a pro athlete, you're essentially married to your job and, at best, a part-time husband because of how much time you're on the road. Spending your youth and competitive days in pure hedonistic bliss is the only logical choice.

Kobe pointed out that it wasn't just under construction, but they are still working on the blue prints... aka, there is no plan. That's Mike Brown's offense, no plan. Mike Brown is a terrible offensive coach; he needs a great assistant coach to run the offense if it is ever going to work. I'm just warning you, that's all.

It can't be both. Its a work in progress which given the circumstances is to be expected.

Is LA back to the Smush Parker days? lol...they looked lost at times. Is it just me or does Kobe seem to not be Mike Brown's biggest fan?

I don't know, change is tough especially when the triangle worked so well, but I think he is still pissed about the Lamar Odom trade. Not that it has affected his play it has affected the overall team play but he is not happy about it.

Byron Scott is signed for another year or two...

My biggest fear is that he may look to go to LA, which has always been his dream job... It'll probably depend on the outlook of the Lakers though, because Kobe isn't a young guy anymore and Scott now has a pretty young team that's rebuilding nicely.

It's not both... I had the direct quote from Kobe earlier. These aren't my word but his. "It's under construction, we're still working on the blue print actually." That is Kobe acknowledging that there really is not a plan at the moment. That is Mike Brown's offense, there is no plan; that is the reason why Cavs fans grew to hate him. Yes, he got he team to perform defensively, there just was absolutely no offense, especially late in the game.

Why didn't the Lakers just keep Brian Shaw and keep the triangle intact?

Question of the year IMO.

I mean they could have even let him implement some of his own stuff, but keep the Triangle. Mitch and the Buss family really screwed that one up.

Shaw was my first choice also. But I didn't have a vote. Have to move on with what we got.
