The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.


As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth....

What you have highlighted in your quote I agree with. I couldnt repost it. An article 15 and company grade punishment and stand before the men and do what is suggested . Yes that works for me . We must protect our Marines at all cost . They fouled up but they need not be hung out to dry by any Yale or Harvard grad

They still chose to be apart of everything, it is not a complex issue. When I enlisted 11 years ago, I knew the risks and I willingly accepted those risks and unfortunately had to be deployed and a part of the war effort.

West didn't say that at all. He agreed that these guys should be punished. He's simply pointing out the over-the-top "outrage" of folks like yourselves who have no clue what dodging bullets from good and decent human beings like the Taliban can do to a soldier's mindset.

They may be "jerwads" but let the Marine Corps take care of the punishment and move on.

After seeing that these men of this sniper team lost seven men to there unit .. I dont know that Id even take a stripe from them . They do need to know that we just cant do this crap but im willing to give these men a pass .

I am glad we agree on the nature and hoped for fate of Mussolini and the Taliban. Italian women share the traits of loyalty and bravery with American service people.
