Why have divisions at all, if winning your division doesn't get you some perk?

If the Steelers can't go to Mile High and Kick an 8-8 team's *ss, they don't deserve to go any farther anyway.

Good point. Taking care of business. Let's see... Denver lost to Oakland, Tennessee, Green Bay, San Diego, Detroit, New England, Buffalo, and Kansas City. Oh yeah, and they lost the last 3 games of the season and backed into the playoffs at 8-8.

Because it makes logistical and geographical sense to have them, and it makes scheduling a whole lot easier. From a competitive standpoint there is no reason for it, and I'd much rather just have 2 conferences.

Also, there is a perk. The perk is an automatic playoff birth. An automatic playoff birth + a guaranteed home game is 2 perks.

If you want to let the 8-8 division champs in the playoffs to reward them for winning a shitty division, fine by me. But they should be the 6 seed if they have the 6th best record of eligible playoff teams. It's common sense.

That's such garbage reasoning it's ridiculous. Just because they should be able to win the game in Denver doesn't mean they should be playing the game in Denver to begin with.

Ohio State should be able to beat Indiana in football even if Indiana got to choose 3 Buckeye players to rule ineligible for that game every season, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a completely stupid rule to have in place. But hey, if you can't go in without 3 players and beat the Hoosiers you don't deserve to play in the Big 10 championship game anyway, right?

Steelers have been a clumsy team on the road this year.

Barely beat Indy, barely beat Kansas City, barely beat Cleveland.

It'll be another low scoring game but I have a feeling Tebow will turn it around and pull off a dramatic win late.

I'm not too sure who wins this game. The Steelers didn't look great today but the Broncos haven't looked great the last couple weeks.

Sucks that the injury list keeps growing and that the team didn't get a bye to heal a little bit longer, but if they had to play someone next week, there's probably no better team in the league than Denver. Tebow's magic has disappeared over the last couple weeks and he now looks barely competent at the best. I think the Steelers would have to play as blahly as they did today for them to have a chance to lose.

I think the reason for allowing division winners to host games even when they have fewer wins than their opponent is obvious. It's because the NFL is out to get Pittsburgh and they put that rule in place waiting for this situation to happen and it finally did. Pittsburgh has to go on the road to face a team with a worse record.

They would rather play at Baltimore,no brainer. Even though the Pats have been bounced early the last couple years NOBODY wants 2 see Brady and BB in the playoffs if they can avoid it.

I'd rather play Baltimore as well. More familiar with them and have won in Baltimore in the recent past.

I'm betting Ryan Clark doesn't play in Denver. No sense risking a person's health (and life possibly) over a football game. Thankfully, with a Tebow-led offense, hopefully the Steelers won't need him back there in the secondary.
