Exactly and he can sit behind weedon next year. If weedon sucks next year too then we can plug jones in.

Landry Jones sucked in college, so I think its safe to assume he'd suck in the Pros too.Crimson streak;1347854 wrote:Exactly and he can sit behind weedon next year. If weeden sucks next year too then we can plug jones in.

I am a big supporter of the Browns bringing in another QB to push Weeden. Lets face it, no matter how shitty he has looked this year, he isnt getting benched for Colt McCoy, because they already know what McCoy can do. He needs somebody to push and compete with him. You cant just rely on one QB. Seattle brought in 2 this year and picked their best. No job should be safe of guaranteed, which Weeden's was this year. Put pressure on him to get better. Browns probably have the worst tandem of QBs in the league.

ESPN Radio is mostly Tony Grossi. I'll wait for the presser.

You know the old saying, if you have two qbs you don't have one!Pick6;1347861 wrote:I am a big supporter of the Browns bringing in another QB to push Weeden. Jets, Bills, KC, Jags have worse QB tandems IMO. I'd also rather have WeedEn than Ponder.

Yeah I get what you are saying. You also know the old saying that competition breeds success. Just saying there should be a serviceable guy back there so you can tell Weeden "hey if you suck today, we are going to bench you".shook_17;1347868 wrote:You know the old saying, if you have two qbs you don't have one!
Whatever happened to BR? S&L piss him off again?

A few years back, Colin also confirmed on the radio that Kobe had been traded.shook_17;1347866 wrote:

I saw him post in the serious business forum a less than a week ago. No idea why he isn't posting here.

I'm very much on the fence about Weeden. I saw his stats next to Luck's today though. It is interesting.....
Andrew Luck: 54.6 comp %, 3,978yds 20TD 18INT & 75.5 rating
Brandon Weeden: 57.2 comp % 3,281yds 14TD 17INT & 72.4 rating
Andrew Luck: 54.6 comp %, 3,978yds 20TD 18INT & 75.5 rating
Brandon Weeden: 57.2 comp % 3,281yds 14TD 17INT & 72.4 rating

If you've seen both play there is no comparison. Luck is much much better.

The big difference to me is that weeden has all day to throw while luck isn't protected especially well. The next biggest difference is in how clutch luck has been.hangonsloopy;1348160 wrote:I'm very much on the fence about Weeden. I saw his stats next to Luck's today though. It is interesting.....

Not sold on Peterson. The talking heads say his "upright running style" won't work in the NFL.Commander of Awesome;1348190 wrote:Ross Tucker ‏@RossTuckerNFL Hall of Famer Paul Krause said if you asked 20 HOFers all 20 would say Jim Brown greatest ever & "Peterson closest thing I've seen to Jimmy"

I think I'd rather have Fitzpatrick than Weeden, would also long term add Oak to the list. I don't think he is that far behind Locker & Tannehill.Commander of Awesome;1347871 wrote:Jets, Bills, KC, Jags have worse QB tandems IMO. I'd also rather have WeedEn than Ponder.
