Not like we will make the playoffs because of it or something. I could see him keeping Shurmur, only to get as high of a draft pick as possible. Doesnt mean Shurmur doesnt deserve to be fired though.
Only reason I can see to fire him before the season is over is if he's really considering giving one of the coordinators a trial run.

Just watched "Browns '95"... I was only 10 at the time, so I barely remember and didn't get it. But daaaamn was that team stacked. I despise art modell more than any other Cleveland "villain". Watching grown men cry shaking hands with Everitt and other players was crazy.

I hope Jimmy Haslam is watching what is going on with the Rams as he starts making decisions about who he is going to bring on board to run this team next year.

St. Louis was worse than we were last year, and in 5 games have already won more games than they did all year last year. It's not like they totally overhauled the roster either or did a bunch of crazy win now free agent moves.

What they did was bring in a competent, credible head coach who knew what the hell he was doing.

We saw it with Harbaugh in SF, and now Fisher in St. Louis.

If we get this new HC hire right it, this is going to turn around quickly.

couldn't have said it better dude. this team is a legit head coach way from being a contender. yes we need another receiver and a few defensive players, but this team could easily be 3-1 with a REAL head coach.

Well, Gordon's going to get a shot to start against the Giants. What's the over/under (number of quarters) before Weeden throws a pick 6 due to Gordon running a bad route?

Wife's about to pop out a kid, I believe. Funny but T-Rich didn't get in front of the media like a big drama queen (cough, Roethlisberger, cough) to announce to the whole world that he might miss a game if his wife gave birth on game day.

EDIT: Didn't know a) he was married and b) this is supposedly his third kid

Got the info, secondhand, from the OBR so he may not be married. Guy on there said it was his "wife."

Friday’s
injury report lists four other Giants as out for Week Five. Defensive
tackle
Rocky Bernard,
safety
Kenny Phillips,
cornerback
Jayron Hosley and
wide receiver
Ramses Barden will
all miss the game. Linebacker
Keith Rivers and
tackle
David Diehl,
both of whom missed last week’s loss to the Eagles, are listed as
doubtful.

Guess I'm glad I picked up Hixon as a spot starter at WR.

That's more accurate. He isn't even draft eligible until 2014 though.

I know if he could come put this year he would be the number 1 pick easily. I have a feeling he's going to be a great d end that we haven't seen since Reggie white.

Honest question. Why have the Browns not shown interest in T.O. or Plaxico? Either (or hell both) would solidify the passing game a ton. Is it money? Doesn't fit with what Holmgren wants to do?

Does anyone think that when Haslam takes over officially he will immediately sign one of the 2?

no. they will evaluate the players through the season, we will probably be 0-7 0-8 by then. season is over, no since of wasting money.
