From what I can see, Skyhook didn't enter this thread until someone called him out with the Tebow comment ealier this afternoon. That's not to say he hasn't trolled in the past but someone called him onto this thread earlier.

Yards per completion doesn't mean a whole lot. Yards per attempt is what you are referring to, and Tebow's YPA was a microscopic 0.5 yards more per attempt than McCoy's.

Yards per completion has a lot more to do with a wide receivers ability to gain yards after the catch, so the difference in that numbers speaks volumes about the significant difference in ability Tebow's WR's had as opposed to McCoy's.

That's why I posted the yards per attempt... Tebow averaged 6.4 yards every pass he attempted. McCoy averaged 5.9 yards per attempt.

Thus, if Tebow completed 9 out of 20 passing attempts (45%), he would gain 128 yards. McCoy would complete 11 out of 20 attempts (55%), he would gain 118 yards.

Obviously, you can see that Tebow isn't exactly BOMBING it downfield all the time. He checks down a lot too, his numbers are just inflated because he even has trouble accurately throwing to check downs.

The 2nd-4th rounds are not later round picks. If you think Hardesty, McCoy, or Lauvao look like good 2nd and 3rd round values at this point you're insane.

It's fine to miss on some guys. But you can't miss on 9/10 guys you take after the 2nd round if you're determined to build entirely through the draft. It's pretty simple. That's why this draft is make or break.

A year from now if the team went 5-11 again, there are still 8 holes to fill, and only 2 rookies look like legitimate NFL pieces, heads are probably going to roll. And they should.

Agree. You can't find yourself sitting on your hands in free agency (again) with money to spend claiming to build through the draft and still be sucking ass lol.

That is because they CAUGHT many more passes because McCoy COMPLETED 10% more of his throws than Tebow. That alongside the fact that the Browns attempted 140 more passes (570-429) than Denver significantly inflates the YAC numbers that you are comparing. Your comparing apples to oranges. Nice fail, though, Failhook.
