He had a smart man (Debartolo) behind him. Policy was a snake oil salesman and Dwight Clark was just his "golden boy" lackey who parlayed that catch he made from Montana into an NFL GM role. Knew NOTHING about NFL talent evaluation.

Jayme Mitchell - DL - Browns

Browns released DE Jayme Mitchell.

Mitchell became expendable after the Browns signed Frostee Rucker and Juqua Parker. Mitchell had never made a start before making 13 of them last season. He graded out as one of the league's worst 4-3 ends by Pro Football Focus. He should latch on elsewhere as a situational run stuffer.

Our passing game would still be inept, though. He would improve our QB position only because it takes 3 defenders to take him down instead of 1.

I guess you missed the rest of the season where he couldn't make BASIC NFL throws. You can't even refute this because he completed an atrocious 46.5% of his pass attempts.

Don't get me wrong, I want Tebow to succeed. He is the opposite of just about every other NFL player in the league, and he is a genuinely good guy. However, unless he improves his passing efficiency by about 15%, he won't last as a QB in the NFL.

Never said he was great but he has unlimited potential as was shown last year leading his team from a 1-4 start to Division Champs and a Playoff win against the defending AFC Champs.

So, based on that and all the other positive things you have said about Tebow, I assume you believe the guy has skill to be pretty competitive in the NFL. Why is that sad then? Keep running away from the question, because your post was a fail.

8-5 record as a starter 14 TD's to 6 Int's Division Champs and a Playoff win vs McCoy's 4-9 record 14 Td's and 11 int's last in Division and of course no playoffs.

We're not arguing about records here, Failhook. The Broncos also had 2600 rushing yards. We're talking about PASSING and QB play. If you take Tebow's rushing threat out of the equation, McCoy is a better QUARTERBACK than Tebow. You are completely ignorant if you argue that Tebow is a better passer, especially considering that his completion percentage was 10% worse than McCoy's. Did they win games? Absolutely, but it certainly wasn't because Tebow was a superior passing quarterback. The more you argue that point, the more ridiculous and unintelligent you look.
