it was pretty good, but also amazing how they got away with all of that stuff. Calling up Oklahoma's hotel and virtually telling their whole team you are going to beat them down was pretty balsy

Orange Bowl has been completely demolished now, and the Marlins' new stadium is going on the site (construction began in July, to open in 2012).

I knew the Orange Bowl was completely gone, just didn't know about any other plans. Thanks.

what a great show. Billy corbin who is the director was on the colin cowherd show on friday. He is a Miami grad and said the show was the tell the true story good and bad. He talked about how alot of the people at the U who are still thier wanted nothing to do with this project and blocked anything they could but I though it was great.

Very interesting. I was pretty young when Miami's program was at its best, so I don't remember most of that stuff very well. Those teams were absolutely stacked with talent though...world-class athletes everywhere.

They talked a lot of trash, but they backed it up most of the time. And after seeing some of the stuff that they did, I can't even imagine what else they did that people will probably never know about. I would say that Coral Gables was a pretty crazy place during the 80s/early 90s.

It's amazing how sports seem to run in cycles, and college football in the state of Florida is a great example of that. Miami owned most of the 80s and started a trend that would continue with Florida State during the 90s. Miami was back for a couple years as FSU began to decline a little, but now Florida has become the dominant team in the state of Florida. All three programs have been pretty consistent in the last couple decades for the most part, but it seems like one takes its turn as a national powerhouse, then moves over for the next.

I was a HUGE Cane fan up until the mid 90's.

I loved that swagger and that bravado. When the rules came down and they quite prancing around I quit following them. That's the only reason I like OSU more now.
