Not sure that's worth it.

Bulls pick up another road win in Orlando. Rose has cut back his scoring a little bit and picked up his distribution, which I love.
Also love what Portland has done this year. Lost Oden and Roy but haven't missed a beat.

Way to jinx them. The worst team I have watched on TV this year (the Suns in their 2nd or 3rd game) is running them off the court.chicago510;1041626 wrote:Bulls pick up another road win in Orlando. Rose has cut back his scoring a little bit and picked up his distribution, which I love.

Ha, I know I'm watching that and the Cotton Bowl. They did play LAL last night, but how many teams can lose 2 lottery picks and still be in prime contention?Laley23;1041630 wrote:Way to jinx them. I agree. I loved the game of Aldridge at Texas, but he has transformed even more and is just a fantastic all around PF in the league. Felton has been the perfect PG for them as well, at least early on. Wes Mathewes and Gerald Wallace are also about as perfect of wings as you can get on that team. Slashers who can shoot, and love to D up. Its a really solid team with a LOT more talent than people give credit for. I cant imagine with Oden/Roy.chicago510;1041634 wrote:Ha, I know I'm watching that and the Cotton Bowl. With a healthy Oden and Roy, they'd be the faves in the West.Laley23;1041643 wrote:I agree. I would tend to agree. The only question is, with Oden, is Aldridge anywhere near the All-Star he is...or even on the team still. Plus, they wouldnt have gotten Gerald Wallace.hoops23;1041659 wrote:With a healthy Oden and Roy, they'd be the faves in the West.
But those are hypotheticals that we dont really know. Just adding them to THIS team, no question. I may even say the favorites over the Heat.

I seem to be the only person on here that doesn't think Oden is a basketball god. I know he is a defensive beast but I don't think he would be a superstar if healthy. I know it's hypothetical to say he wouldn't be but it's hypothetical to think he would be. I just doubt his ability to remain healthy at this point.
I do like Portland though. They seem to have a lot of talent. Aldridge is a beast. I also forgot Marcus Camby was still in the league.

Hes not a God. But he has never put up poor numbers when healthy. So that part ISNT a hypothetical. It is a pipedream though, cause the guy is gonna have to retire by this time next year, imo. Look what he did in college...with a broken RIGHT wrist.bigdaddy2003;1041980 wrote:I seem to be the only person on here that doesn't think Oden is a basketball god. He wouldn't have to be. A healthy Roy is a star, Aldridge is a borderline star, and Oden would play the Tyson Chandler role.bigdaddy2003;1041980 wrote:I seem to be the only person on here that doesn't think Oden is a basketball god. I don't think Aldridge is quite at the level that a team is going to win a title with him as the go-to guy though. They're a solid team, but I don't expect much out of them when the playoffs roll around.

Oden would have been better than Chandler IMO. Lot better.

I agree with you about Oden, but we already got into like a 4 page argument about Oden a week or so agobigdaddy2003;1041980 wrote:I seem to be the only person on here that doesn't think Oden is a basketball god. Dallas is up 52-41 at half on New Orleans. 20 guys have scored, and nobody is in double digits.
11 Mavs players have scored between 2-6 points, and nobody has more than that (five guys have 6). I'm not sure I've ever seen a halftime box score like that.

I've watched a lot of games so far this year and the number of players somewhat into many rotations seems greater than ever. Not sure if it's a lack of preseason and everyone is getting a shot or a busier schedule trying to save some legs. In the two games I've watched Cleveland it seems they have about 16 guys in the rotation. Lol

Danny Green with 24 and 7 tonight for San Antonio in a win over Denver. I was pumped when the Cavs took him in 2009. He was one of about 3 guys on my wishlist for that draft. Then I was bummed when he never got to play/didn't play well when he did. Thought he would be a steal.

Same. I was a huge Danny Green fan because I thought he was just a solid player.Mulva;1042719 wrote:Danny Green with 24 and 7 tonight for San Antonio in a win over Denver. Mike Brown never really gave him any clock and Ferry cut ties with him.

I'v ebeen really impressed with the Nuggests and the Blazers. Its interesting to see these teams play hard without the "superstar" player. I really hope they break the mold and notion that you need 3 all stars to win a ring. Karl looks like he is really having a great time coaching this team. They have so much depth (except maybe behind Nene, really don't have another guy like him on their roster) that I'll be interested to see how they fair in the playoffs. Same with the Blazers, they have so much length on their team and they play with a bully mentality. It looks really tough to go in the paint against the Blazers and I hope they keep it up.
