I'm guessing you'll be downtown?? Big River Grill is a very good restaurant. Then I'm sure all of Broadway Street will be a big party.

We haven't gone out for years. We are essentially stay at home folks who seem to be fine with fawning over our kids and grandkids and all of the animals and fish and everything else alive around here. We had the entire family over on Christmas Day except for our drug dealer son and his family (pharmaceutical Rep) who are in Florida visiting with his wife's parents, so we only had 10 in our house this year. We go out around twice a week, once with a friend of ours who recently lost his wife. She was one of my wife's best friends who died of lymphoma, and we used to go out as a foursome and now there are three of us but it's important for us to do that, and we also go out to dinner and/or a play, or musical presentation with two ladies in their 80's, one of whom was my father's secretary back in 1954 and whose brother was my best friend until his death around 15 years ago. I also bike with a good friend's wife who is having some memory problems and he asked me if I could ride with her on a local bike trail when I go out and I have been doing that for about three years now. We get out there and we're not hermits but New Year's Eve has never really appealed to either of us.

Well, I lose. No plans and my 8 year old wanted to have a few friends over. 4 eight year old boys are a handful, girls at that age are so much calmer and quieter.

Whoa, didn't you used to be a teacher? That was difficult to read through. A paragraph or two wouldn't hurt.

For all you drunkards, AAA will be doing their Tipsy Tow again this year. They'll take you and your car home, free of charge. You don't have to be an AAA member.

This is the first time I've heard of this program. Pretty cool. Looks like they'll tow you up to 5 miles. AAA Tipsy Tow also operates on Super Bowl Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco De Mayo and Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
