If MKG is there at 4 the Cavs would be idiots to pass him up. Dude just has something about him that screams winner. I watched a lot of Kentucky basketball last year and he is a stud who will do very well in the NBA. The jumpshooting will improve, he may take 2-3 years to develop into a high level NBA player, but it will happen. If its trading up to get him when they could take Beal then I'm not so sure, but I think MKG is a lock to be an impact player somewhere. Cavs fans would go crazy over his hustle.

Just my 2 cents as a non-Cavs fan since you're talking about him.

It's not as much anxiety as it is a huge fear of flying. He refused to fly to the tournament games this year because he needs a week to get himself mentally ready for a plane trip.

Here's the craziest part about how OKC built their team. It seems like they never "miss" on a draft pick. I don't know how any other team even competes with that.

Since 2007 when Presti took control here are the guys they have hit on (some of these were draft-day traded to other teams but they originally took as an asset and flipped). '*' indicate a 2nd round selection.

2007: Durant / *Carl Landry / *Glen Davis
2008: Westbrook / Ibaka (24th)
2009: Harden / R.Beaubois (25th)
2010: E.Bledsoe (18th)
2011: R.Jackson (24th) - injured last year but alot of positive hype before it.

Even Jeff Green (2007 drafted by Celtics, acquired by OKC for Ray Allen) who ended up being an overall bust ended up netting them Kendrick Perkins (back from Boston).

---------------

If Irving was our Durant, then can this year be our Westbrook/Ibaka draft?

A lot of luck too being in the top 3-5 in the draft for 3 years straight, with deep drafts i belive. With that being said, it seems pretty rare for NBA teams to build solely for through the draft these days it seems like.

I probably wouldn't be willing to deal for the #2 pick. I'd rather have Lamb or Barnes than MKG.

Presti has been gold with his trades and draft picks. I cannot find a bad move he is done whatsoever.

Maynor came from Utah in the middle of his rookie year. It was when Sloan was there. I was very surprised they dealt him....for a bum who stopped playing basketball in Germany a few months after the trade.

Beaubois was traded to Dallas for BJ Mullens and a 2010 2nd rounder. Mullens was then traded for '13 2nd rounder.

Presti pretty much traded Dexter Pittman(32nd pick in 2010) for Daequan Cook and Eric Bledsoe(traded to LAC) when Miami was in a salary shredding spree before the summer of Bosh/LeBron signing.

The draft pick that became Serge Ibaka was traded to OKC(then Seattle, on Presti's watch) with Kurt Thomas from Phoenix because they wanted to dump Thomas' salary.

Presti is without a doubt who Grant should carbon copy while trying to turn around the Cavs. Really remarkable stuff.

Thank you for this site. I love looking at trade/FA's history. Never seen this before, but I like it a lot.

How amazing would it be though, if we could trade for #2 and not give up #4. We could then take MKG and Lamb and have quite the future

Sullinger measured in at 6'9" with shoes. I know this is the Cavs thread, but I just thought you guys may be interested in that lol

I think the Bobcats asking price for #2 is going to be a little more than what the Cavs want to offer. I read that they want an all-star caliber player in return with some picks, Rudy Gay has been rumored.

I think they might talk to NOH about the 10th pick

Cleveland and Portland have talked about swapping draft picks, according to source. Cavs would get #6 and #11, Blazers would get #4 and #24.

I think I'd be ok with that... Would still possibly get Lamb or Barnes then we could turn around and get another very good player at 11, or package 11 with a 2nd and a future and maybe a player and jump back into the top 8ish?

I also saw that Andre Drummond stated the Cavs were NOT at his recent workout to interview him.

I would love 6 and 11. Makes it even more likely to take Lamb.

Would any of you take a look at Meyers Leonard? He was a legit 7'1 at his measurement and he seems to have a high ceiling skill wise.

No. If a player is "raw" they better have off the charts potential to be considered. He doesn't. He's soft and he gets rattled easily.

I only saw him once last year and he did pretty well against us. I honestly didn't know much about him, just heard some people talking about his size and skill.

He's a great athlete and he has a decent J, but he disappears completely when he doesn't get his touches and even at his best he never dominated (from what I saw, probably 6-8 Illinois games).

I think the top 3 are set with Davis, Robinson and MKG. I would love for MKG to fall to the Cavs but I dont think he gets past the Wiz.

There doesnt appear to be much of a gap between guys in the 4-9 area. If that's what the Cavs are thinking I would def make the trade with Portland. I wonder who Portland wants that bad that they're going to make that trade?

What worries me is that I have read the same things about Jeremy Lamb. It has been said that he looks disinterested in the interviews and on the court at times.

At the same time, a scout said that he moves Allen-like without the ball.
