I just don't like the inconsistency, he also should be a much better rebounder than he is for his size. I think he will be a good player but I think he is overrated, and at the number 4 spot in the draft you are looking for great not good. He does have a nice stroke but he seems like he is either on or off, no consistency.hoops23;1185177 wrote:I didn't take it as you were talking about crossover handles, I thought you meant the basic ability to handle the ball, including under pressure by keeping the dribble alive, etc...
His jumpshot is pure. He has good form and with NBA repetition it'll only improve. He struggled his soph year shooting 36% from 3... That's a pretty good year for most players.
His size, at 6'8'' 215 is ideal. He's a very good defender and I think he can improve the ability to create his own shot. All you need is a few go to moves.
Pierce was a guy who had the same criticisms, but he's done jsut fine.

I wouldnt be shocked to see them take Drummond. He could easily be a bust, but if he plays up to the potential that many scouts think he has the Cavs could have a dominant bigman to play with Kyrie

I think if MKG is there, that's who's taken.

I think Lamb/Beal/MKG will end up being the best players in this draft. I really really really like Lambs game.

Give me Thomas Robinson if MKG and Beal are off the board. You could trade down and still get Lamb.

I think he could be good enough to reach the Rudy Gay type level of borderline all-star, which I would take any day.robj55;1185182 wrote:I think he will be a good player but I think he is overrated, and at the number 4 spot in the draft you are looking for great not good.
I think Barnes, MKG, and Sullinger are all pretty low-risk picks. I don't think their ceilings are as high as some of the other guys, but I think they all have a very low bust factor.

Rudy Gay would probably be his ceiling, less athletic though. I don't see him panning out to be a 20 ppg guy, maybe 15 -17.Mulva;1185236 wrote:I think he could be good enough to reach the Rudy Gay type level of borderline all-star, which I would take any day.

Sully a low risk pick? Depends on where in the draft. top 10...not sure id do that. His game is nottttt NBA friendly unless he really works on that mid range and becomes like a David West type player

Agreed. I love lamb. It would be nice to snag mkg and trade back into the lottery around 10 and take lamb

I think he has good enough hands and footwork to make up for the lack of athleticism. An Elton Brand or poor-man's Kevin Love type.Hb31187;1185245 wrote:Sully a low risk pick? I think other bigs like Drummond, Leonard, and Henson could potentially flop entirely and not even be good enough to make a rotation. I don't see that happening with Sullinger.

I think this too. They like DJ/Kemba at PG, probably won't give up on Gerald Henderson yet. Having Biyombo and Drummond will "shore" up their front line for years in MJ's mind. In reality they'll probably both suck. But they have a need at SF as well so MKG is probably going to be hard to pass up. In that case, does Washington take Drummond to replace the great Javale McGee?trep14;1185173 wrote:I could really see Jordan taking Drummond though and the Cavs ending up with Beal.
Hell, I really don't care as long as we end up with Beal.

He does have good footwork and what not, but when he got matched up with players near his size in college he really struggled with them and would often get his shot blocked and get frustrated. I just dont know how well hes gonna transition to the NBA, I could be very wrong thoughMulva;1185252 wrote:I think he has good enough hands and footwork to make up for the lack of athleticism. Out of curiosity, is the kid from Kansas that gave sully fits projected to be drafted high? I like him as a project pick later

You talkin about the white boy wes? Withey? Or Thomas Robinson?mucalum49;1185309 wrote:He'll be gone unless we take him at 4.
Robinson will be a top 5-7 pick most likely. Withey...well ask karen he'll tell you he'll be playing in a Lithuanian Rec league next year, but some mocks have him early 2nd round. But he's going to be back at KU for his senior year.

I could see him being a good defensive big that comes off the bench to rebound and block shots

That's exactly what he'll be...he's one of the best defenders I've seen at the college level in my lifetime. But he won't bring much offensively other than easy dunks/lay ins. Although his post moves have improved since he got full playing time, so who knows.Crimson streak;1185343 wrote:I could see him being a good defensive big that comes off the bench to rebound and block shots
